I would personally love Emmaamwori, but I'm worried we might have to trade up for that to happenAmos, Emmanwori and Ersery are my top picks at 48.
Definitely an OGGotta be Oline at 48
Yeah no way he comes anywhere near us. He should be one of the first players to be selected tonight.I would personally love Emmaamwori, but I'm worried we might have to trade up for that to happen![]()
Definitely think we trade up to get another 3rd or 4th. Have a lot of picksThere could be, but I agree that its sketchy to wait. There is a huge gape with tons of talent between our next two picks at 48 and 98. Right now, Miami needs to be figuring out how to add another day 2 pick or two. Whether that means trading down, using Ramsey and another pick to move up, future assets, Tyreek.... whatever. Finding a way to end up with 3 or better yet, 4 picks tomorrow, would be HUGE in speeding up this mini-retool and finding starting caliber players at the 3 biggest needs (DT, CB, and OG). Kind of stating the obvious but adding picks tomorrow should be priority #1
What can we give up this year to get another? We sure as hell shouldn't give Grier any future capital to gamble with since he won't be here and all we have left this year after are 5s and 7s.Definitely think we trade up to get another 3rd or 4th. Have a lot of picks
You don't like Rateledge?Donāt love any of the guards middle of the second besides Savaiinaea, remaining secondary looks juicy with taking the risk with Johnson/Revel, Amos still on the board as well as Emmanwori. You have to pull the trigger on Johnson or Revel at 48, sometimes have to risk it, both were top 5-10 guys had they come out a year earlier. Obviously donāt know full injury report but sometimes you have to swing for the fences.
Mike green would be very tempting at 48
from Pure value standpoint.
Ersery available havenāt looked into him much can he kick inside or is he more of a pure guard guy?
That would be really nice. My dream would be Amos/Morrison/Watts/Emmanwori at 48 and move up from 98 to get RateledgeMaybe. I like Thomas better than Amos. And I like Frazier more than the popular opinion it seems. Would love him at 98
You don't like Rateledge?
Not necessarily. Baltimore play Jones as an end and they're similar players. We actually still need a true NT imo. I like Stackhouse late though over Collins at 98 if he's thereAmos seems to good to be true to last until 48.
If we take another DT it would have to be more of a pass rushing DT like Sanders. Collins would be too repetitive of a pick to Grant.
I also like Ersery since I am not sold on Paul but maybe Ersery could kick inside.
Me too but they clearly tried, couldn't find a team or a fair deal and went with their guy. I'm not mad at it. Grant seems like a Baltimore pick which is what everyone on this board wantsThats why I wanted to trade down last night for extra draft capital.
Trenches, I really like that. There will be better DB/DL available than IOL at 98. That is close to 100% certain given where the class is deep and where it is shallow. There were already 3 IOL drafted in the 1st round; kind of hard to make the old ānot a premium positionā argument. There are 65 picks before our 3rd pick and only 5-8 OT/OG with day 2 grades left.
Iām not advocating we āreachā for OL at 48 (although there are still 2-3 guys left worth that pick). Iām just making the point if we go DB like Amos at 48 there is an exceptionally high chance Eichenberg is our week 1 starting LG.
Personally speaking Iād rather throw Bonner, Duck and Kohou to the wolves and go OL/DL with our next 2 picks. We canāt fill all our needs either way; might as well start building the roster inside -> out first.
I didn't necessarily mean at 48, just in general. He's a mauler with a incognito mean streak minus the bipolar lol. I'd go best Amos or Watts at 48, move up if needed for Rateledge and then look for a nickel, a true NT (Stackhouse) late and bpa everywhere else. Another guy I like at guard that definitely should be there at 98 is Kandra. No pressures last year and is a strong mean run blockerIām on the fence digging deeper currently trying to convince myself lol had him more early 3rd value. Mid 2nd may be rich but it is a need. Thing thatās killing me is thereās a lot of talent that I didnāt think would be there. Have to see whoās available just donāt want to be in a situation with say like will johnson or Emmanwori, guys expected to be top 20 guys available at 48 and have to reach for a need.
I think Grant is going to play the nose.I didn't necessarily mean at 48, just in general. He's a mauler with a incognito mean streak minus the bipolar lol.
