No it's not the 49ers problem once they trade him but it takes two to tango and I don't see a lot of teams lining up to trade for Purdy knowing the contract he is going to want and the trade capital it will take to get him. I just don't think Purdy is regarded as an elite QB by other teams even with a shortage of quality QB's in the league.

Last year really hurt him.

When the offense had a lot of injuries Purdy looked like he was coming back down to earth, we saw it first hand when Tua outplayed him during Week 16, and as we all found out afterwards, Tua was playing hurt.

Purdy is decent and I think they'll get a deal done but if the 49ers stick to their guns, it might see the end of locking up QB's to long term deals before they really deserve it, a lot of teams could benefit from that

No id still be saying we should have taken BTJ over a corner, Chop didn't have a round 1 grade for me before the draft and he wouldn't have played a snap on that Philly defense. He would be an after thought

I do like a lot of your posts, but AJAX is a very good tackle and a very talented athlete.

Almost all of the problems he has experienced were due to very bad coaching. Anthony Munoz would have struggled with some of the coaches that kid has had here.

The rumor is they are far apart in contracts talks with 9ers offering in the 40’s while his camp wants 50’s as well as guaranteed money isn’t close. Heard titans are the wildcard which could swing the whole draft if they end up grabbing purdy and moving back in the draft then sending 33 and some of what they obtained from trade back to the 9ers.
