NFL DRAFT & RUMORS MEGATHREAD

with as many holes as Miami has, they can draft BPA at 13 and still fill a need
It’s true. I think the only position that can be ruled out is RB. They spent what 2 3rds on Jaylen Wright. Pair that w/ the role Achane has. Drafting Jeanty even though he’s an upgrade to Wright wouldn’t make sense. They have to ride Wright n Achane this year having 3 3rds wrapped up in those two. But every other position is a go

JP15 n Chubb it’s more likely than not they will be shells of themselves. Couple that w/ the fact we don’t have either long term. I don’t see how edge can be over looked. It may feel redundant due to chop pick last year that I understand.

No, he doesn't. He's just better at NB. The notion that he is a lost cause on the boundary is a flawed narrative.
I compared his yards/target at both and passer rating in his coverage and neither of them indicated "sucks".
I don't know where I found it now, so please don't ask me for it. Believe it or not. Disregard it or not.

He’s not twitchy and athletic enough to match up with boundary athletes.

Stephon diggs murdered him with Buffalo. Before Stephon diggs converted to more a slot in Houston.

Who said those things were necessary, and how many current GMs even have them?
That’s the point.

Especially with math wizards like Brandon shore.

Hell imagine if that guy could evaluate talent

Doubtful though

When Diggs was with Buffalo, he "murdered" a lot of corners. When was that? His rookie season?
Having top-notch short area athleticism and twitchiness is important for NBs. If Kohou lacks on the outside, it's his length.

They spent one pick on Wright. It was a 2025 3rd, traded 1 for 1, for a 2024 4th.

Still don't see the need for Jeanty. We are good with the two we have. Need a ball buster like Martinez or similar for short yardage.
I think the point is moot because Jeanty is off the board before 13. I also think running back is the most fungible position in the NFL. We have too many other needs to use a premium pick on an RB.

Given this and the level of competition I’d probably bump him to top 75. Just as an example of what I think age does and combined with the level of competition where I’m more comfortable.
I tend to give the big guys a little more slack as far as age.
One they're not as reliant on speed and two it takes a bit more to grow into that "grown man strength". We see this true with rookies on their last year grow into themselves. I believe Paul Saliai was this way.

Tucker Kraft is a stud. Where I think he’s different is he tested off the charts coming out. The college tape was raw as heck but if I can get my hands on a Kraft as my tight end I’d be all about it.

However I don’t think Warren is gonna test that well. I just don’t see it. He’s obviously more polished than Kraft was coming out and it says something that the entire offense could run thru him at Penn state his final year but he only has one real year of production and til he tests and runs and gets me out of the mid 4.8 speed with average athleticism despite the ideal frame and the body to develop as an in line blocker I just don’t see him validating a top 20 pick long term.

Top 5 stuff blows my mind. You better be a straight up go to iso 3rd down tight end when split or flexed for me to go top 5. Brock bowers last year yeah I can see it cause dude ran 4.5s on tape against sec competition and was murder after the catch and at the top of the route. Warren doesn’t have that skill set.

And in line tight ends that can’t win when ISO’d on 3rd down are mid round pick values. To me he falls more top 75 ish in most classes.

Maybe he’s more tj hockenson as a pro but I don’t think I’d take that top 15 either.

Yeah, I settled with a Top 40 grade, because of frame and ability with the ball in his hands, but the lack of testing does give me pause ranking him that high.

It's not the approach I'd take, but Loveland is the only TE I'd consider at 13. He has the polish and skill to win as a receiver and still gives you some physicality. But, I'd much rather draft Ferguson at 48 than Warren at 13.

You like Fannin Jr?
