NFL Rumors: Miami Dolphins not expected to name Dion Jordan a starter in 2014

WOW - What a NEWS BREAK -
Only a fool would think Joran becomes a starter.....
He is in the right spot...

The odd report states he might not be a starter in 14 or the next year. If we selected a player 3rd overall and he didn't start for three years the would also be very odd. A waste of a high pick.
Regardless, why don't we wait a few months. It is a ridiculous statement to start with.

Crystal ball, Crystal ball....what do you see, please reveal the future to me...

I think there is a good chance that 3-4 players from the 2013 class will be starters this season. Seriously.

Who other then Sturgis and kickers really don't count as starters? Most likely Davis or Taylor will start, but that doesn't mean they deserve it that just means we are poor at their positions! Dallas Thomas? See previous assessment! If Dallas Thomas is a starter it is because our line is a dumpster fire! Thomas gets pushed around like Bambi on ice and that's not fixing in one off season. Jenkins? Meh there is a huge difference looking decent with limited playing time and looking good every down. We have been down this road for 7 years just because they start doesn't make them good.

Now as far as Jordan I got the vibe last year that Philbin was not in board with the pick. It wouldn't surprise me if it lit the fuse on the bomb that blew up Philbin and Ireland's relationship. I'm not saying Philbin will or would have intentionally not play Jordan to prove a point, but I would say Jordan has to go above and beyond to earn it. My problem as should everyone's problem should be we had and continue to have so many holes ( Thanks Jeff!) and to trade up to 3 and get a player that is a situational player opposed to a every down impact player is just crazy!

There are a lot of players who aren't "starters" who play a lot of snaps and make a big difference in games. It's all about situations and having the right personnel in at the right time.

Remember when Zach Thomas was drafted?

JJ brought Jack del Rio over from the Cowboys to play LB.

He was 'projected' to start BEFORE training camp...

What happened?

What about that guy who plays QB on the west coast for the Seahawks...

What was he 'projected' to play BEFORE training camp?
