NFL Sunday Ticket Question

On the $200 per season for the Sunday Ticket even throw in the SuperFan for $99 extra....it's still a bargin.

Just think of it like taking yourself and your girlfriend/wife to a Movie for 16 straight weeks. Comes out to about the same $$$$ in the end.

no one liked my tv :(

Well, its a hell of a lot better than my 36" tv and broken surround sound system. On top of that, your living room is a lot cleaner too, so that's a plus. :)

4th year with the ticket!!!! can't live without it!!!!
4th year getting the Ticket also, and I love it. Having the NFL Channel all year long is a major plus as well. I can`t believe all the $$ I save by staying out of the local sports bars, and I don`t have to worry about getting "popped" driving home after having one too many.

I have a general question about DirecTV. Are their prices standard because I have heard of people getting their most premium package for like $40 bucks, and I'm thinkin this is not legal?

a lesson i just learned:

since directv is contract based they want to keep your business.

for example, i just got an directv high definition DVR receiver for 299 + 100 mail in rebate.

that piece of hardware retails for 700 bucks for normal customers.

if you want in on this deal call directv and make your way to the "Customer Retention" department.

tell them you are unhappy, digital cable offers their dvr's for so much cheaper, you lose signal in storms....whatever you want.

you will walk away with free hbo, showtime, and cinemax for 6 months and 500 bucks off a badass DVR HD rcvr just for telling the truth....

dont be a normal customer, make them hook you up!!! they will do it!!!

Hey POR I was waiting for the price to drop on these so I could get one, I called the Retention dept and without saying more then "I heard about the deal you are offering" (They call it the Shoppers Special) the rep just started offering me credits, by the time he was done I wound up getting the DVR for

$299 -

$100 rebate
$5 of HD for 6 months
$5 of Total Choice for 6 months
$10 off HBO for 6 months
Free Showtime
Free Superfan
and a free OTA Antenna (Which I said I didn't really need but he said might as well take it.)

Plus they said they will be upgrading these receivers for free when mpeg4 receivers come out at the end of the year.

Thanks for the heads up.

no problem brotha!

looks like you found yourself one of the good reps  some aren't so quick to give out the programming credits.....glad you got hooked up tho! :)

I have had direct TV for three years and never have had a phone line connected. Just make your movie purchases online.
