No excuses lets change Dolphins Stadium

The Fins have great fans. The problem is they are living all over the country. So.Fla has lots of mixed loyalties due to all of the transplants. That being said, the real problem is the configuration of the stadium plus a class based seating structure which promotes the corporate class to come out and do business. I've said it many times, but when i was a kid the Orange Bowl absolutely rocked. It was easily in the top 2 along with Mile High in Denver. I remember being at that monday night game against Philly, when Jaworski couldn't call his plays. That was awesome!

I just hope that if Wayne goes through with his stadium renovation plans he moves the seats closer and changes the configuration. We lost a competitive advantage when we lost the Orange Bowl.

I support your spirit though. If we could get the stadium to the level that it reached when we beat the Colts in the Lamar Smith 209 yd OT playoff game that would be terrific.

I've been saying that for years: we HAVE to move the lower-level seats closer to the field and lower those damn walls behind the end-zones. Joe Robbie can get plenty loud- but not on the level of Pittsburgh or Kansas City.

I get infuriated when the people behind you ask you to sit down when you are getting pumped for your team. We payed our 60 bucks just like they did so they have no right to complain; we are not at a library, we are at Dolphins Stadium. Come time for week one, it is up to us to bring the noise. It is time for Dolphins Stadium to become one of the most hostile enviroments in football.

That s*it drives me nuts. It happened to me at the Washington orange jersey comeback game in 2003. This b*tch and her husband were yelling at me and some other fans to sit down a couple times while Washington had the ball and we were really ratcheting up the noise for the D. We told her to go f*ck off and her and her dopey husband left. :rofl3:

Good for you.

It's football, not chess. If they don't want to get jacked up for the aqua and orange, then GET OUT OF HERE!

now this is the kind of discusions we should be having.

your onto something...the kind of discussion we should be having is what we can do about it this season. we as in dolfans who have season tickets or plan to attend fins games.

I know that I'll be yelling my *** off October 23 against Kansas City. I can guarantee you I won't have a voice left when it's over- just like every other Dolphins game I've ever been to.

I swear DD, I was this close to turning around and dumping a drink on her and her husband's heads. People like that shouldn't take the seats of a die-hard that would give and arm and a leg to be there cheering on the Dolphins.

You mean like me, stuck in New Orleans.

You and I would make one mean cheering tandem at Dolphins Stadium.

The sadest part about Dolphins Stadium is that, had they went to the ushers and told them that, you would have been the one leaving.

That's something I've never understood here. Why the owner caters to all the cronic complainers (retirees), who arrive late, tell a few diehards to sit down, then leave during the third quarter. Right after they get one of the diehards tossed. That's why I left the Club Seats years ago. Great view of the field, but not worth the hassle sitting with all the old farts.

I'll be one of them old farts in about 10 years. My plan is, when I can no longer contribute noise, to retire my seats. I can sit in front of my TV, and won't have to ask a single person to sit. :D

Sure as hell would man. If you could get to Miami for the KC game, you can join me and my cousin in contributing to the noise. Flying down form Jersey. It's gonna be an awesome time. We'll be in section 425 row 25 screaming our asses off.

What's even more sad than that is I wasn't sitting in the club seats. I was in section 410.

I would love to try. It depends on my job schedule.

Hey, how about taking a flight to the Big Easy and coming to the Dolphins/Saints game with me?

I'd have a ticket ready for you. All you gotta do is get the plane ticket.

I kind of figured you were not talking about club seats. You did not sound pissed enough!!

Trust me, you would have trouble not getting kicked out in the club section sometimes! I've been escorted out 4 times during games, and had my season tickets threatened the last time. I asked for some assistance in finding me some new seats, and they actually got me new seats in less than a week just to get me out of there.

It's gonna be tough money-wise- I could look into flights and see how much they'd cost- if I could find something cheap I'd definately consider it- I've always wanted to check out New Orleans too. I'll definately keep it in mind bro- and thanks for the invite. I'll let you know what I find. :D

Just let me know. We could rock our Fins stuff on Bourbon street the night before and then go to the game on Sunday.

I swear though, the Dolphins run the place like it's a retirement home. I understand they don't want fights going on and what not, but the way they treat the paying customers fore simply cheering the team on in an ultra-loud fashion is absolutely ridiculous. I'm sure you don't see that kind of garbage in Cleveland or Pittsburgh.

Awesome bro. When I figure out what the deal is, I'll PM you. If you want, PM me your e-mail address and I can contact you that way too.
