None of you are getting the point

What is there not to get? You don't trade a pro-bowl, all-pro caliber talent in their prime for two 3rd round picks. Not to mention that they aren't even in the same draft.. That's garbage GM'ing. You keep Marshall. You traded for the guy and blew off Dez Bryant when he would have fell right in our laps. Guys in GB are WINNING. I wouldn't be mad either if I had a stud like Aaron Rodgers slinging the rock or was competing for an undefeated season.

How much value did you think Marshall was worth.

We did pretty good IMO.

WR's are becoming a dime a dozen in this league with the way the rule changes benefit the offenses.

Go get Laurent Robinson. Plenty of replacement for that lunatic Marshall.

We gave up 2 second rounders, so we could start there...

Not saying it's a bad or a good move. But maybe Marshall demanded a trade. He certainly was whiny and not happy here.

ALSO you're asking us to accept Joe Philbin like he was Mike McCarthy or the entire Packers organization. He didnt bring in any players. He was the OC so he designed plays. Plays he didnt even call on the sideline!

Why are you asking us to have faith in something completely unproven?!?

The only thing really proven on this team was Marshall's ability to be a pro bowl mvp player. And we traded that away for a pittance.

What player on the Packers was like Marshall? None. They don't rely on simply one player to take them over the hump. Offense by committee, how it should be. We didn't need Marshall's selfish ass attitude rotting the locker room and undermining the franchise that our staff is trying to rebuild

Ok.

You purchase a used car for $10,000.

You drive it for two years and add another 20,000 miles to the vehicle.

Now you're looking to sell the vehicle to someone else.

Let's start with $10,000.

 oh the hyperbole.

Who would've known that the key to the success in the NFL was getting rid of your only good players on offense!

Jeff Darlington made an interesting point on NFLN today. He basically said that Brandon negatively got into the heads of the Miami QBs. He said it was evident with Chad Henne, but he wasn't the only one. Also said that even if another WR was open, Brandon would go on a tirade against the QBs.

Maybe it was a necessity.

If there's one thing I've learned from being on FinHeaven for 8 years, it's that people don't like the truth.

And if you tell the truth rather than slurping every single bum that walks into the Dolphins locker room as the next great player, then you won't be very liked around here.

But it's better to be a man of truth than a man of nonsense like most.

JCane applauds this post.

i agree 100 % , i dont care who you are you dont give a ransom for a player just to turn around and give him away for peanuts ? they knew what they were getting when they got him. this is just bull****.

Hilarious rationale, because doesn't apply to football at all. In fact in many cases (especially in FA) you buy a "used car" for more than it originally costs. Marshall is still in his prime. Also take a look at Matt Flynn... used car and was a kia when drafted, and hes about to get paid like hes a Maybach.

let it play out??? it has played out, we got 2 3rd's for one of the best Wr's in the league. stop acting like this move is part of some grand master plan that will have us in the Super Bowl next year.

Big names dont always equal big performances. The pats went pretty far with who as their receivers? Welker and.....Sure Brady works there, but the prettiest, most perfect pass has to be caught or it's an incompletion. No style points.

Simon has never overpaid for anything in his life.

You guys really thought we would get back what we gave for Marshall. What did he do here that would suggest we could get two second rounders back for him? This was a TRADE.

Matt Flynn is a FREE AGENT with a lot of tread on his tires. But if someone wants to go out and overpay for him, then so be it. It's smarter to overpay for Flynn than it is Marshall. Flynn is a QB. If he hits, you probably got him at a bargain price.
