Not only did Aponte wreck the Browns

Why when I type buttfumble (S A N C H E Z) buttfumble comes up?

Junc now knows who to point the finger at for the butt fumbler going to the Jets.

She didn't pick Sanchez. IIRC she spotted some technicality in the paperwork that had to be worked out, and worked it out in the nick of time for them.

She did not pick Mark Sanchez. She is not going to be the GM. Stop. Just stop.

This team is in phenomenal cap shape. I'm not a big fan of Aponte, but she's doing a good job as capologist. Stop freaking out, people. Ireland is TOAST. They want Tom Gamble. These are great developments. Let it play out.
I do not think it is crazy to think that Ross would make her GM. I think he sees at some bold politically correct move to get a woman as GM. And I never said that she picked Mark Sanchez. She could not pick him. She was working for the Browns. The Jets were the ones that stupidly took him with the 5th pick and she had a hand in that.

Please explain how she wrecked the Brown's?

I'm curious about this too. They haven't had a real team since the original (now the Ravens) Browns - and even that team couldn't make it to a Superbowl. In fact they've been beyond dumpster garbage since before she got there, so how exactly did she "wreck" the Browns?

Jeffy reaching out to all his minions. Lol

It is a reputable Staten Island paper. Get a life dude.

She is a capologist and she had done a pretty damn good job everyone she has worked.

You could have done some research yourself and seen that when she was fired by Holmen in 2010 the Browns were under the cap by $24 million.

Also, just to set the record straight regarding what happened in Cleveland, the turmoil began when she was offering Cribbs a contract worth $1.4 million per year. That was a contract to basically a great special teams player who at that time in his career only had 59 catches and 3 TD's, while playing for 6 years with the Browns and a player who had never shown anything on the offensive side of the ball. Cribbs however felt insulted and that he was worth more.

Holmgren, who was then hired that offseason has the GM, took Cribbs' side in the arguement, fired Aponte and resigned Cribbs to a 3 year $20 million dollar deal. In the first two years with the Browns on that contract he had a whopping 48 catches with 4 TD's in 32 games. The contract was so bad and so out of line with what Cribbs production was that as soon as Holmgren was fired in 2013 the new regime released Cribbs as well.

Last year Cribbs couldn't even make the Raiders squad after signing with them in the offseason and then signed with the Jets midseason where had a whopping 2 receptions in 6 games before getting hurt against the Fins.

When you look at what actually transpired with Cribbs and the Browns, Raider, and Jets it's pretty safe to say that Aponte was actually right in that situation where she didn't feel he deserved a bigger contract that what she was offering.

You think they have improved? You obliviously were not living in the 1980's.

I really can't believe just how far out some of these threads are. This is one step off of paranoid schizophrenia. We need some tinfoil hats and radar detectors to hand out.

How did she "WRECK" the team? THEY WERE **** ABSOLUTE DUNG, AS IN THE CRAP THAT COMES OUT OF A RECTUM before and after her time there. HOW DID SHE WRECK THEM?? Answer the question since you made the statement.

Don't know the level of power of the three headed triangle but as I am sifting through all the tweets, blogs, interviews, etc. there seems to be developing a clear structure. The head coach will coach and oversee the coaching staff. The GM will be primarily responsible for the talent of players (draft and FA). Aponte will oversee the business side of the team (salary cap, etc.). They all three will work hand in hand and for this first year will not hover over the other two of the team. Each one has their own specific responsibilities with the common goal of making Miami a winning franchise again. Now if we suck again next year things could change as Philbin probably get fired and then the remaining two will assist Ross in finding a new coach. It's very clear the new GM will focus on talent evaluation. That's very specific to the job description.

Personally I don't have a problem with this at all in that the three member team can focus on their roles and not be overwhelmed. Also this clearly points to a younger GM coming in or at least someone who hasn't been in a traditional GM role yet in their careers.

To further my point consider the following Browns records pre, during, and post Aponte:

2008: 4-12 (pre Aponte)
2009: 5-11 (Aponte's tenure)
2010: 5-11 (post Aponte)

Looks to me that not much changed before, during, and after her time there
