Not only did Aponte wreck the Browns

But she had a hand in dealing one of the worst QB picks, Mark buttfumble...
Define "had a hand" for us ...because it sounds like this is a play at "guilt by association." Is someone claiming she made the pick over the advice of the Jets GM and head coach? Exactly and specifically what role did she play in the buttfumble pick? And even if it's true, why would you knock her for helping the Jets make a bad pick?

Ireland's gone, and Dawn did. Aponte is the greatest thing to happen to Dolphins ever. Ireland lovers are desperate.
Did someone actually say that? Or is it a gross exaggeration made by a butt hurt Ireland fanboi?

I see that as soon as Ireland is out of the building the fans have chosen their next target to rip and complain about.
I think it's mostly coming from the pro-Ireland crowd. They're pissed because they don't know what to do with their "I 'heart' Ireland" t-shirts.

I do not think it is crazy to think that Ross would make her GM. I think he sees at some bold politically correct move to get a woman as GM.
And you're basing this on what?

Not sure why Aponte comes up so much in the last couple days but she is with us for the last 3 years and already moved up the ladder last year. She is on the business side of football operations and has done a real good job with the cap and player contracts. She is not new to us. So what's the deal here? Sour grapes?

Yeah dude, people are deaf, dumb and stupid here. As far as I can she's done a good job and people around the league think so also. I guess some posters here really don't know this team like they really should. They spew a good game but really just know who our QB is and nothing else. Too funny

I think people are really not familiar with the business side of an NFL organization or any aspect of the structure of an NFL organization. If I look at some of her numbers I am astonished. Take Wallace for example. It is a 60 Million dollar contract but only 15 Million are guaranteed. And this number is nicely spread over the length of his contract. The rest is all base salaries and bonuses which may never be paid. I could probably give a dozen or so examples (incl Tannehill) but I think I made my point.

Unless she screws the cap up I am pretty happy with her.

Agreed, and she has most of these contracts structured that the hit is worse in the second year. So it seems she does a good job because we are under the cap last year and this coming year. I like that strategy. I love how posters here think she's going to be picking the players in the drafts all of a sudden. Funny sh*t for sure

But she had a hand in dealing one of the worst QB picks, Mark Sanchez the No. 5 pick in the draft, to the Jets(which was not a bad thing) in return for safety Abram Elam, defensive lineman Kenyon Coleman and backup quarterback Brett Ratliff. Elam is the only one that even approaches being an avg player. Coleman has bounced around the league with like six different teams. I do not think Ratliff is even in the league anymore. That was supposed to be a great trade. If the Jets were not as inept as they were it would a win for them and another in a long list of fails for the Browns. You want this woman to lead this organization? You have got to be kidding! And the author is proud of it.

another reason to love her if true. That was a steal of a trade and nearly got us 2 SBs.

Yes way more important than Shula, Marino, Robbie etc

Dawn wrecked the Browns? Really? This would have to mean that the Browns were good and they then became lousy. The Browns gave always sucked....she had nothing to do with it.

There is actually plenty of talent on that team, w/ the right coaching staff they could be a playoff caliber team quickly.

Steal?

DE Kenyon Coleman, QB Brett Ratliff and DB Abram Elam, a swap of first-round picks (17th overall), and a second-round pick (52nd).

Aponte hosed the Jets. :hclap:

S-anchez has no value, never had. In your two runs he was just along for the ride. :3w:

While you may want to argue the value of the players (though Coleman did pretty good for you guys) the added pick to move up for S-anchez is by far too much. :3w:

He lasted all of 4 seasons.
