Josh Gordon, oh hells noooooo!!! If you were high on the wacky weed already, plan on some funky rope a dope added to that stash!!!I'm waiting for some poster to start a "hire Josh Gordon" campaign soon; now that he wants to get back into the NFL - LOL
Let's see how long that takes?
I guess, what I meant was, that often times there is a perfectly civil discussion going on when ANUfan joins like the Hulk who jumps in and smash, smash, smash rawr, anger, hate etc etc. He never quotes anyone. He reminds me of my niece on Facebook that constantly yells at unnamed individuals who "know who they are".That basically depends on your point of view. Now if you are rabid, look out …. - LOL
Tony Gonzalez was a better blocker than Gesicki and he was a HOF TE. Gates was the best TE in the league for several seasons and considering he was a basketball player in college and not a football player, I think the Chargers always considered themselves very lucky he turned out to be the player he was.Tony Gonzalez was very mediocre at blocking and Antonio Gates sucked at blocking. Not saying Gesicki is of that caliber but I feel we have a place for this talented young man. I want to resign him but we will see.

Gesicki is a good TE but he is no where near the player either Gonzalez or Gates were.
Guys please do not make this personal
Attack the post but never the poster
Thanks
I'm down, lol.Celebrity Boxing match or purge night is the only solution. Real FB is too far away. Just a suggestion.
The third round pick this year should be a clue…Greer plans ahead for problems…Ala…Igbo/Howard!I'm certainly scratching my head here. Maybe Flo doesn't put much stock in TE's that aren't good blockers? Only thing that makes sense.
You do have point. No one heard of Kelce or Kittle until a few years back. But, they were both blockers first. Gesicki has a role though. He may not be the blocker we want but he is 6-6 250lbs and super athletic.Kelce (24) no stats
Gesicki (24) 89 targets, 51 catches, 5 TDs
Kittle (24) 63 targets, 43receptions , 2 TDs
Kelce (age 25 season) 87 targets, 67 catches, 5 TDs
Waller (25) missed season
Gesicki (25) 85 targets, 53 catches, 6 TDs
Kittle (25) 136 targets, 88 catches, 5 TDs
Waller (26) 6 targets, 6 catches, 0 TDs
Kelce (26) 103, 72, 5
Kittle (26) 107, 85, 5TDs
Gesicki is 26 this year...
Gesicki is just getting to the age where Tight Ends tend to explode. As you can see, his TD numbers are already higher than the competition managed in their similar seasons. The folks who scuff their toes and say, "but he don't block much", are completely missing the point, he isn't being asked to block... he's a slot TE. If we let him go, he'll go to a passing circus team (like the Chiefs) and flirt with leading the league.
He led the Dolphins in TDs last year, and was second in targets and yardage to DVP. The Dolphins are NOT going to suddenly say... well, he led the team in TDs last year, let's shut him down. I mean... c'mon, that's just stupid.
Will he become Gonzo (who mostly worked out of the slot), or Gates? Doubtful... but only because of the fact that those two guys may have been the best TEs in history... and yeah, comparing anyone to a first ballot Hall of Famer is not going to go well for them.
Kittle is the best blocker of the three... He may also be the least explosive, which wouldn't be unusual for a Y-style inline tight end. Despite playing on an excellent team, he'll be 28 this year and only has 14 TDs so far. He soaks up lots of targets, but he doesn't take the top off of a defense like Waller, Kelce, and Gesicki do, and I'm not sure that he ever will. You do have point. No one heard of Kelce or Kittle until a few years back. But, they were both blockers first. Gesicki has a role though. He may not be the blocker we want but he is 6-6 250lbs and super athletic.
I agree. TEs take a while to master their craft. We won't mention Gronk as he is just a freak of nature. Gronk frequently takes on DE's solo which is unheard of.He's also younger than the others, quite a bit younger than a couple of them... and has only missed one game in three years. He is the classic example of... don't develop a player and then let him walk at JUST the point where he blows up.
I'm down, lol.
Maybe we could do a live Finsheaven boxing event. All proceeds go to the site.
I used those very pugel sticks you speak of in Basic. People picked who they wanted to fight. I chose this guy I couldn't stand. It was a brutal contest neither of us would go down. Eventually he got me but he wasn't such a d!CK after that. We both were beat up.Boxing? Boxing? It sounds like wrapping packages.
I have a better Idea. Let them use Pugel Sticks like we did in basic training.
These are basically a 1" diameter wooden pole about 54" long with a canvas bag on each end filled with a semi solid stuffing. Think of it as a man sized Q-tip. It replaced rifles & bayonets in hand to hand combat practice. The only protective equipment were football helmets and gloves. Sure seems appropriate - LOL
Like jousting without a horse. Seems appropriate for a fan duel were each opponent is his own asss - LOL
