Whatever player you get, make sure it was a good one, or one that is a definite joke. The Jabbar, or Parmalee's I don't think were good enough to honor with a jersey.
That's kind of the point though... If you wear a jersey of a player who is obscure / little known / wasn't a dolphin long / etc., it kinda tells people that you're a die-hard fan. I mean, think about it... If you saw somebody wearing a #17 Steve DeBerg Dolphins jersey, wouldn't you take on look and go "oh man, you KNOW that guy's a serious Dolphins fan?" Especially if it was new. :-)
I mean, I wouldn't want one for a complete scrub, but a player who real dolphins fans will have at least heard of, or somebody that was something of a fan favorite, would seem cool to me.
DeBerg would be a cool one, because probably very few people (outside of Dolphins fans) even realize he played for Miami. And he was the QB of the infamous "Snow Bowl" game, so a DeBerg jersey would bring back memories (even though he didn't really do all that much to win the game himself. Keith Byars, Leon Lett, and Pete Stoyanovich were the stars of the game).
Parmalee was cool just because of the "back story" about his path the NFL. Very inspirational, ya know? A guy who wasn't drafted, but kept training and working out and trying to find a chance to tryout for a team, while supporting himself by driving a UPS truck.. gets a chance with the 'Phins, sticks as a special teamer, then steps in and runs the ball fairly well when he got the chance.
