Odell Beckham Jr.

I prefer if we don't even roster Berrios.

We have seen his ceiling as a receiver, and it is limited.

I am with you a 100%. I would keep Cracraft over Berrios in a heartbeat, if it came down to a final spot situation or an in-season addition.

I got all the respect in the world for Berrios, he's overachieved in life but he has no business helping a Super Bowl contender, contend.

For an offense that lack size already, he can't be my bailout WR. There's probably a role out there for him, somewhere but its not this offense at this point in time.

The 27 year old 2 time league MVP is, “very overrated”? Okay. Is this your fallacious argument of the day?

Anyway, as I have posted twice now, I don’t believe OBJ plays a full season, which is largely why I don’t believe he exceeds 500 yards.
He's a good QB that is very good at taking off with the ball...That's where the MVPs come from. Don't let the MVPs define him as being more of a premier QB then just an offensive weapon.

Force him to beat you with his arm, rather then his legs, and you will find a lot of QBs ahead of him as far as effectiveness.

Yes.

Elaborating a bit, I do recognize Cracraft also has limitations. The difference is, he is a far better blocker and can operate from any WR spot, whereas BB is strictly a slot. The way we shift and motion with TH and JW, a strictly slot reciever is almost redundant.

Yeah, I actually agree with you. Later in the thread I expanded upon my comments a bit. My qualms with the post that elicited my response were simply that as the total package, he’s an incredible player, and worthy of the MVP’s he has received, and saying “he’s overrated” and then not demonstrating that in any way is garbage. Had the argument been, “he’s not a great passer”, I would have never replied.

I'm not a big fan of Berrios, but, to me, it depends on if Miami can find a returner as effective and trusted. One thing I didn't worry about with Berrios was bobbling a catch.

The way they keep changing the rules... The kick returner is less and less important (IMO) I do not care if it is Smythe out there catching punts and kickoffs.... As long as he understands when to take a knee or let it roll through the endzone.... And does not muff kicks, I am fine with the long snapper back there.

I would not keep Berrios on the roster just to catch kicks. Nope.

^^^^^^^^

Punts rather than kicks, but yeah.

I think either of the Washingtons could handle the job.
Punts or kicks or both... My take stands... anyone that is sure handed and knows what to do with the football is good enough for me.

He did have the highest yards per reception of his career last year at 16.1, so he's got more than enough juice to provide a substantial upgrade over Braxton Berrios.
Yep, thats true. Hopefully, he'll be able to beat the single coverage that he will most likely get.

Greeat point on Anyone that is the 3rd or 4th receiver on this team

Hill commands Doubles
Waddle is hell in single coverage.

We have Achane expanding into a Eckler like receiver.

Beckham is going to get coverage with a linebacker normally and at best a safety... He is going to feast when his number is called.

I think 600-800 yards and 6-10 tds are the lows and highs for his production. malik Washington is going to be on the field a bunch too

There is a big difference between OBJ being fantasy relevant WR and a productive WR for the Miami Dolphins. I think he will be the latter in a big way. He's going to be a chain mover
I think this is right.....

Many of us are still in therapy after the Jakeem Grant years and bobbled punts.

Berrios is steady at fielding punts and takes that concern away. I do find it odd however on his return ability, I have seen on numerous occasions that he seems to run directly towards contact instead of trying to avoid it.

That aside, I'll take those sure hands of his all day long

Up to a point! But you knew he was good for atleast 2-3 TDs a season.

Hell, look what a ST TD did for the Bills in that crazy all important game for the division last season?
