I'll say he can't play NT. The dude needs to hit the weight room for about 3 years before he plays NT in a 3-4. He's a good player, but he's not a powerful guy.

What's wrong with an undersized NT who's more quick and athletic than powerful? More of a pass rusher than a run stopper? Suits Jay Ratliff well, after all, he's only an All-Pro.

Ratliff is a 1 gap NT. Our NT needs to play 2 gap. Big difference.

Nope. Nolan ran a 2-gap system almost exclusivley with the Broncos last year, and also when he was a DC with Baltimore. He mixed in a bit of 1 gap when he was with SF, but that was more because of limited personnel.
