None of those TV guys ever sticks to coaching. They're celebrities & will sign a HUGE Contract for the money ... & be gone in a few years like Tuna.

Good franchises study Coaches & GMs ... & go for solid candidates that may be around for 10-20 years. Tuna kinda did this, but picked his pals.

I wouldlook at he guy who developed and is working with Aarin Rogers as his QB coach. Or the guy woring in Philly as a QB coach.

morniwig in philly. flopped with browns. same mistake we made with cameron. just cause a guy can work with a qb doesnt mean he can be a head coach. plus it helps to have talent. vick just didnt work before. he does now.

Rob Ryan.

It took Cowher 14 seasons to finally win a Super Bowl, and I think he's rusty from sitting in a TV booth for years.

Also the entertainment value of both Ryans coaching against each other in the same division would be epic.

Bill Cowher does it even need an explanation why.

yes. how on earth is he a better pick than gruden? grudens done it in 2 places. has turned a journeyman qb (rich gannon) into a league MVP, and has won a super bowl with another journeyman who played lights out in the playoffs and didnt even fit grudens system. plus the team gave up 2 1st 2 2nds and a 4th to get him and the defense was aging and he continued to win division titles.

gruden is younger, hasnt been away from the game as long and is a QB guy and tireless worker. both are passionate, but gruden even moreso, hes positive and he rubs off on guys. cowher isnt a poor choice. but hes 2nd best.

gruden won bigger and faster than cowher. and cowher is too conservative for miami. more upside with gruden, but i dont blame some of u guys for liking cowher, at least there is a legit debate there.

if ross talks to both hell pick gruden, impossible not to like the guy, that fire will be evident.

Gruden was making his pitch to Ross during last Monday night's broadcast. I'm not real fond of Gruden's draft history in Tampa, but if you give the guy a high pick where Andrew Luck or Matt Barkley are staring him right in the face I would feel a lot better about the hire.

Unfortunately, NONE of those... I honestly have no idea who would make a good coach for us at this point.

I know I don't want retreads and I know I dont want fatass. disheveled Rob Ryan.

Fisher gets lumped in with Other? Bah. Well, he'd be one of my top choices. I'm not on this Ryan train, that's for damn sure. That would be a move just to create a media spectacle.

i agree with the draft history thing. im with u. he didnt have full control the whole time tho either. i was in tampa at that time. i cant remember what the situation was cause i didnt give a **** about the bucs. they were missing alot of draft picks tho.

gruden needs a good/proven talent evaluator that he can work with tho. then im gruden all the way. i agree with u tho

from a coaching standpoint - theres nobody better. and hes young enough, and i think this guys just ****y enough (but not arrogant) to stand up to belicheck and ryan in his own division - and say im better than these guys - ill show them. the guy could be here for years. and i think hes that guy that could build/ would stick around and want to build a legacy. imagine if he won 3 super bowls here in the same division w bb? theyd say he was better than belicheck. he could go head to head with the best. i think nothing would get gruden going more than this. miamis a great situation for him. its a perfect fit

i think it would be a hell of a division. some real wars
