Pretty much. A lot of risk involved with Henson. He could be another Marcus Camby, or fail like the 2 UNC toothpicks to come before him in Ed Davis and Brandan Wright. Worth the risk though. We're never going to be OKC/Miami offensively. Our best bet is defense, and adding a top shot blocker to our perimeter defense gives us a championship defense.
Yeah, he's the UNC player I want them to take. I want no part of Tyler Zeller.

my celtics are said to be hot after jamal crawford also...difference is we REALLY need some depth scoring...someone who can come in and fill it up in a hurry off the bench so i'm ok with it...

i don't think its ross or henson for you guys at #15...i don't think henson gets there for one...better shot at ross imo but i still think you guys go a different route...i'm more in the perry jones or terence jones to you guys crowd...and i think terrence jones is a solid pick...at times last year he was imo the best player on the floor for kentucky...i think he's a little underappreciated probably cause he would go ghost in games also

i heard earlier that the raptors offered you guys the #8 pick for iggy and you turned them down...

I can pretty much guarantee Ross and Henson are the top targets. Whether we get them is another story, but the staff is head over heels in love with those 2.

I like Terrence Jones too and agree he's been underappreciated because he keeps having that tweener word thrown around him. I'm not really seeing it. He can block shots and rebound, true tweeners like Thad Young and Jeff Green can't.

As for Jamal Crawford to the Celtics, I think there's better targets out there if that's the type of player you're looking for. I'd take Lou Williams over him easily, which says a lot considering all I've had to say about him over the years.

As for the Raptors, they wanted #15 as well. If they let us keep #15, he'll be out the door for sure. Same deal with GS and #7, except they're insisting on including Biedrins or Jefferson in a deal, and that's just not going to happen unless we can get a third team who would take either. I don't think Iguodala gets traded for a pick. Pau Gasol or Al Jefferson is another story. Pau and Collins seems like a match made in heaven.

I know I'm playing the "what if" game, but who do you think we would target with that top 10 pick?

Pau is a solid player, but what makes him and Collins a match made in heaven?

Henson is their top target. They also like Waiters a fair amount.

As for Pau, Collins seems to like the tall, smart, white big men that can pass and shoot... I like Pau Gasol though.

good lord steer clear of pau gasol...you want to talk about a big that will tick you off with the way he plays a lot...that's pau gasol

as for henson you guys already know i think he's really undervalued in this draft imo he's a better pro than wright or ed davis...better length better defender has some offensive abilities to build on...i just don't think he gets to #15...i'd take him over ross i know that...no question

whats the backup plan if ross and henson are both gone??? waiters getting to #15 doesn't sound very probable either

I've heard good things about Waiters. He'll probably be gone before we pick.

I was reading an article last weekend, and read about a possible deal for Gasol. The deal was Iggy for Gasol, I still am not sure what I would do with that offer.

iggy for gasol straight up isn't bad...i take it the lakers would be losing metta world peace if that went down...but man in 2 years or less you'd be regretting that gasol contract...he was awful this last postseason...i could see him just shutting it down on you guys...

and i swear you'd be cussing watching gasol play a fair amount in the postseason...he's frustrating as hell with the way he seems to just coast at times and not mix it up

Waiters and Henson are targets at 7 or 8 while Ross is the target at 15. Not really sure what the backup plan is for them. Henson and Waiters are pretty much guarantees at 7/8. If Ross isn't there at 15, which seems likely at this point, the names thrown around most often are Terrence Jones, Austin Rivers, and Arnett Moultrie. Sullinger, PJ3, and Leonard are thrown around mostly by fans. Hasn't been much word out there on how the 76ers feel about those guys.

He was even worse in the playoffs the year before last. Definitely a concern. As far as frustration, can't be much more frustrating than watching Andre "elite athlete but I think I'll settle for this here Kobe-esque fadeaway 21 footer" Iguodala.

you got that right...rumors that ok city is offering up james hardin for the #2 overall pick to charlotte...hardin scores 20 plus ppg as a starter on a lot of teams...surprised okc would want to move on if true

Good trade for both teams if it happens. OKC doesn't have the money to pay Ibaka and Harden, which is the premise behind that rumor. They can replace Harden with Beal, who I personally think is going to be a very good player, and keep Ibaka. Charlotte gets a former #3 pick that's mostly proven to be worthy of that selection thus far, or at least more than capable of it, despite his disappearing act in the Finals. He's going to put up numbers as the #1 option on a team like Charlotte.

Speaking of Harden, watched several Syracuse games today. Dion Waiters was always near the top of my list based on the Syracuse games I've watched and what's been said from people who's opinion I regard highly. But getting to finally watch some Cuse games to refresh my memory, I'd probably put him at the top of my list of possibilities. I prefaced this post with "Speaking of James Harden" because they have a similar style of play. Dion Waiters is EXACTLY what this team needs. Waiters is fearless at attacking the basket. Nearly unstoppable at times. Just like Harden, though the similarities mostly stop there between the 2. We are in such desperate need for a guy like Waiters who isn't a complete puss. The only one we have is Turner, and he's no Waiters. Unfortunately I get the feeling we stay at 15. Maybe trade up a few spots to ensure we get Ross.

The more I've watched and read about Ross, the more I want this team to draft him. He looks like a perimeter scorer that we can desperately use.

i like beal also...but hardens proven in the league already...i can't imagine ibaka is gonna command more than $10 mil per maybe $12 mil max per...i'd lose perkins after this season before i'd trade harden to make cap room for ibaka...i guess it depends on what hardens lookin at in his next contract...

waiters is said to be a real hot name right now...doesn't have a great outside shot but attacks the tin and has the body for it...some talk he may shake up the top 5...no later than #8 i'd say

i think waiters is more your create his own shot guy off the dribble...harden i see more as a guy that gets most his looks and drives to the cup off of pick action
