*** OFFICIAL BUFFALO BILLS @ MIAMI DOLPHINS POST GAME THREAD *** WK2

In short it was all Tua’s fault. Even though he only played 2 series in the game before the OL nearly got him killed. He was also to blame for the fact the offense went scoreless the entire game and because the defense gave up 35 points.

At least that appears to be the reason many posters claim the Dolphins lost today.

2 sacks in 1st Drive, 2nd Drive they finally get their QB nailed. This goes 2 ways with me. Lack of basic talent and coaching because I saw both on the first 2 drives. I'm sick to death of seeing crap OL play every season. You could put Mahomes behind that Line and I guarantee he will be lucky to see his bye week without going out on that cart into the locker room for further assessment.
Tua wasn't 5% of that loss earlier. He was more a victim of that ill disciplined crap I just witnessed and let's get honest about this. This was a lack of discipline, ability and natural talent at too many positions. Nothing much has changed.

I didn't get to pay attention to the game as much as I normally would as I was out somewhere with my daughter. It should have been no worse than a 14-10 deficit at the half which I thought was pretty remarkable considering the way it seemed we were playing. Once they scored to start the 2nd half, I pretty much stopped watching. Certainly not something I'd do if I was sitting at home watching, but just wasn't worth taking away from time with my kid at that point. So that being said, I'm not as down in the dumps as everyone else. Parker catches a relatively easy TD and Grant doesn't fumble, we were right there. Heck, I think there was a Wilson drop right before that in the red zone for a 1st that might've led to even a TD rather than a fg and a tie ballgame at half. Most people would've be pretty happy to be 1-1 at this point before the season started. So here we are. Onto next week.

p,ease Put your guard down for one second..and just hear me out....Because I have a point and something doesn’t add up Imo.

Last year, this staff goes out and hires Chan gailey out of retirement.

Why??? Because they have a qb that’s worked with the guy for years and who designed an offense around his skillset.

That guy Fitz was playing well.

That guy earned the respect of his teammates the year before right?

So they all of a sudden put in a rookie who admittedly wasn’t ready mentally, and ain’t no way was the dude at his apex of physicality,he rehabbed a horrific injury, he did not prepare for the rigors of a nfl season.

That coordinator that was hired did not design an offense for that rookie qb who was coming off a serious injury.

Something ain’t right in this picture, I’m tellin ya man, something ain’t right

I'm going to have to concur, 100%.

A few thoughts on the game:
This whole game was an utter mismatch, IMO. The Dolphins secondary definitely did their job, but without a decent pass rush, Allen had all day to let plays develop. The Bills O-line is really only middle of the road. They played well today, but the Dolphins' D-line made it easy for them. And nobody, including Bills fans, expected the Bills run game to be so effective. I think that is as good our run game has looked, literally, in years.

To be fair, the Dolphins' D (especially in the secondary) did keep Allen from getting into a groove with his WRs for much of the game. But with the early lead, the Bills just ran an uncharacteristically balanced offense, gave Allen some designed run plays, and took whatever passing lanes the defense gave him. Josh Allen threw for just 179 yards, and one throw over 50%. That really doesn't sound like a 35-0 blowout.

If the Dolphins couldn't "figure out the Bills," as has been stated in another thread, it was the Bills' pass rush that they had the most trouble deciphering. A big part of that is the defensive line rotation, which is a hallmark of McDermott's defense. But, out of the six sacks the Bills laid down, one came from a linebacker, one from a safety, and two from cornerbacks.

For what it's worth, I thought Brisset looked better than Tua. But, it really doesn't matter. If the Dolphins are going to be competitive in this division, they're going to have to protect their quarterback, whoever it is. After the six sacks, how many other times did your quarterback get hit?

Josh Allen wasnt the unstoppable monster today. He wasn’t even good.

we still lost by five scores.

that is terrifying

We lost that game ourselves, we looked like **** early but stayed close, had opportunities and almost the entire 53 let us down. Mainly the offensive half of the 53.We could of easily been tied or within 3 at the half (realistically) and maybe we get some momentum and defence can rest a bit. After the half we imploded some more and several more players had bullet wounds in their feet.

Our D was ok although left some turnovers on the field. I think X could have had an easy 3 more, Byran just can't catch unless it's out of bounds and penalties also hurt.

It was ugly and I'm still at a loss for words. We better bounce back next week.

I know you weren't watching that closely, just wanted to point out the Grant fumbl and the Parker drop were on the same drive. So if Parker makes the catch Grant doesn't get the chance to fumble inside the 10 yardline on the drive or if Grant doesn't fumble and the Dolphins score than Parker's drop was harmless.

That's what it looks like when the other guys horses are bigger, faster, stronger, and better trained than yours.

That's two azzkickens in a row from the Bills. No polishing that turd.

Gotcha. So 14-7 at the half. We could've also picked up a fg after the X pick if we so chose. The defense really settled in after those 1st 2 drives with the one being the short field. All things considered, we should've been right there at the half. Provided we get Tua back soon, I think we'll be fine.
