Gus also was playing with the first string offense, with first-string talent. right now AJ is playing with 3rd string offense (the guys that are "hoping" to make the team).

IMHO the quarterback competion hasn't even started or is already decided. How can you compare two qb's when they work with two different units irregardless of what defense they are palying. Saban has to find his other starters first.

Did the WR not break stride stop and jump rather then coninuing to run through the play and jump to catch the ball?

He played that pass completely like a hail Mary rather then a line drive deep pass.
