Best day early on this trout season was last Friday.
In a little over an hour after work I caught 8, kept the limit and pitched 2 back - 5 Brookies & 3 Rainbows
In the process, I mustβve pissed off half a dozen old timers who were struggling with their powerbait.
The guy to my immediate right asked what I was using (inline spinner) then 20 minutes later proclaimed that the fish must think he has gonorrhea
Happiness is β¦ A basket oβ trout

Among todays catch was this plump 14β tiger trout β¦
Never heard of one of those, almost looks like a mackerel. They aren't worth anything except catfish bait!
Speaking of catfish, I got my first of the year yesterday morning β¦

They are good on the table, but seems every time I try to take one off the hook I get cut, I'll stick to saltwater fishing. I caught a marlin in Cabo, seems like a lot of work but I finally got it in. As marlin goes it was a small striper, it was 153 pounds, which tells me I couldn't catch a blue or black.

Nice game fish, can't tell by the pic but it looks like a tarpon. with the problems with my back I don't think I could land one that big any more.
