My issue is not with warranted complaints. I just think the overreaction of throwing one's hands up in despair, concluding the game is already lost because the score is 7-0 early in the game (for example) is ridiculous.In fairness, if the complaints are mostly about the defense then they will likely be warranted.
At this point its pretty obvious which players/coaches won't be here for the 2023 title run.

As far as changing the defensive staff, specifically the DC? I wouldn't bet on it. Not only is there a lot of season left, but wholesale changes to scheme also usually, for various reasons, involves a couple years to implement successfully.
It may seem obvious to you (others as well), but I'm not so sure McD has already made any such conclusions.
