Official Mia/Hou Joint Practice 1 Thread.

I never bought into him. Too small, un-athletic and broken down. He had a good stretch last year beating up on bad teams and throwing to wide open guys in the middle of the field. It was never going to last.
I admit I was wrong about Tua.
should we just call you Flip or Flop?

Just play with consistency. All else will fall into place, whether you consistently suck wind or consistently beat the snot out of others. Just be consistent for christ sake.

Perhaps in a real game situation the receiver wouldn't have lollygagged off the line and may have Chosen to at least make some sort of effort to smack the DB and break that up. Probably not so much on the last play of practice in a controlled situation where (by some accounts) one of our All-World receivers had just taken one to the house in the same situation on the previous rep. Context people, c'mon now...don't make me get all Allen Iverson on your asses

He made a non motion based pre snap read tried to look it off to the other side post snap and was going there the entire way. That is the definition of a coverage misread and while it’s nice you are trying to look off guys no motion based ids and you completely read it wrong which is how it goes from a maybe int to a pick 6 in that space.

It’s just another pre snap read and decision with no post snap verification and a wrong coverage read
I think this a great learning experience for him. This is exactly what practice is for. They say Tua is a fast learner. Let’s hope he’s learning from these situations.

Injuries, injuries, and more injuries.
speaking of injuries, looks like another calf injury for rogers. I wonder if jets fans are getting a little nervous. Rogers has been durable, but he is almost 40

I personally don’t understand the sky is falling posts with an interception in a training camp joint practice. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again it’s the best time to try new things there’s no fricken game planning. One thing I noticed with Tua is his ability to just keep grinding even after a **** up. I have no worry with him leading this team whatsoever.
