Official Mia/Hou Joint Practice 1 Thread.

I'm not saying Tua has had a bad camp, but in the last few practices there have been multiple interceptions and multiple pick 6's. I get that it's practice and you want to try new things out, but you should also be practicing protecting the damn football and Tua has not taken good enough care of it recently so yes I am concerned. People worry about the oline, I worry about Tua until he EARNS a franchise QB contract. No one is more important than Tua to the short term and long term success of this franchise.
I’m more worried about him staying healthy than his performance. What I’ve noticed is if tua messes up in a game he’ll normally bounce back strong. There were stats of him after a turnover and stats following it where he kicked it into gear after.

We were extremely fortunate to beat PIT, some of these were awful throws that should have been picks. We won’t get that lucky again this year, Tua needs to cut this **** out. Last years got nothing to do with 2023 thank God. Tua needs to play on Saturday and he needs to play well. SD is going to be tough week 1.

The only INT that mattered was this one

You are correct.

I remember joking in a game day thread last year that MM is a genius to the point when the offense struggled, he would purposely have Tua turn the ball over to get the offense started lol.

The reality is it’s both, he needs to stay healthy and he needs to play at a high level if we are to get to where we want to go. Nobody’s opinion on Tua, not even Tua’s opinion on Tua matters at this point, he just needs to ball out in 2023.

Ok u win Ray, as usual. Yes both are in the past but that’s not the point I was trying to make. My point was u can’t expect last year to have any bearing on this year, and you need to take practice and preseason seriously the way NE has if you want to build a dynasty i.e we better not sit Tua on Saturday. Have a good day sir!

Thank you for your response.

I agree with you to the point that you can't hang on to the past, but I would add that you can, and should, build from the past.

It’s great to hear about Ginks big day at inside backer, we need that in case Long misses time
"I feel like the defense did good," cornerback Xavien Howard said. "We made some plays. 'Gink' (Andrew Van Ginkel) especially made a lot of plays today. That dude will ball no matter where he's at on the field."
