Adam Butler is a easy cut to me. Makes like 4 million and is buried depth. No dead money.
Not saying we need to keep him, but your narrative is not accurate. He was in no way buried on the depth chart. He took over 50% of the snaps last season, on a unit that rotates heavily. He isn't going to be an All Pro, but he is a solid interior player.

If you get rid of him, you better have something in mind for replacing him.

Look at what Jacksonville has done so far to provide everything possible for Trevor Lawrence. Will the moves work? Who knows, but they are making a clear statement that they will aggressively try to add pieces for him to at least have a chance to succeed.

This offseason was supposed to be about giving Tua every possible tool (a shiny new toy would've been nice) to succeed, or at least be able to properly evaluate him. We still might accomplish that, but we haven't so far, and we are running out of money because we've spent it on RBs we didn't need, #3 WRs, and high-priced special teamers.

We simply cannot go into next year's draft with the ammo to get a QB and still not know what we have in Tua because we failed to properly address what we think he needs to succeed. Then what do we do?

Yep. When the qbs are on the rookie deal is when you load up. Because when that cap number jumps (if the qb is deemed worth it) moves are much harder to make.

We go in with Jesse Davis/Eich, Tua has no time to throw actual passes. Tua throws short passes only. We have no idea what we have in Tua and it’s another year gone.

Our OL was a travesty and Grier is saying the young guys need to play better? We absolutely need to add at least 1 if not 2 more starters to the OL. We owe it to Tua to do so.

I think we have made progress mainly with coaching alone. We have some very capable running backs not to mention a full back and I really feel they will make the offensive line a priority even though it seems like it hasn’t been addressed at the moment.

I’m confident if Tua Fails it won’t be due to neglect like it was since he arrived here.

I’d rather draft a rookie DT and actually protect Tua than have Butler and a rookie LT.

Didn't realize the off-season was over in 3 days. If you were saying this right before preseason you'd have merit.

I sure hope so. I thought Duke johnson was fine. Fingers crossed about the OL.

There's plenty of time left. That's why I said "so far". I'm hoping for some cuts and then signing 2 starters on the OL.

That's fine, but that's not what you said, and IDK that you are going to draft a "ready day one" DT unless you want to use our rd1 to do so. Even then there's no guarantee. DTs usually take a year or two to develop.

If you are just looking for ways to create cap space, with designs on signing a 20m dollar OT, I get it.

He's our best interior pass rusher, not likely.

So...if we sign an OT or two, here are my cuts:
Shaheen 1.85 mil
Carter 2.52 mil
Hurns 2.575 mil
David 3.61 mil
Little 1.53 mil
Fejedelem 2.77 mil

That's close to 13 mil
