Michael Lombardi was the commentator that brought the Clowney for a Receiver opinion. (at least in my searching for Houston desire for Clowney.
Houston needs LT #1 for Clowney. Thats why interested with the Fins, because their top trade choice looked to be Tunsil and supposedly (better be) Flores turned them down.
Another report by
John McClain of the Houston Chronicle (link to left. J. McClain Chronical)
Reports suggested that Houston is looking to acquire a wide receiver in a Clowney trade, but
John McClain of the Houston Chronicle says that while he does expect Clowney to be dealt, he believes the Texans are going to swap him for an offensive tackle when he signs his franchise tender.
Of course, it’s fair to question whether losing Clowney on the defensive side of the ball will be worse for the team than rolling with their current group of O-lineman, but it seems that Houston is set on trading him. McClain believes the team should also ask for a running back in a trade in order to offset the loss of
Lamar Miller, who
tore his ACL in Saturday’s preseason game.
Houston could use a
CB
WR
RB
But they really need a LT in which the task is much more difficult and who knows what they will end up with. First choice LT, second choice possibly high draft pick and third WR, RB, CB...deducted from internet sources all over the place...
