Also Saints lost their picks and had all of the suspensions because the coaches didn't cooperate with the investigation and the entire defense was involved in the issue. Only way we got hit like the Saints is if it turns out that everybody bullied Martin and treated him like garbage

Per the OP, I watched Olbermann on Monday (not last night). He blasted Incog for being a racist yada yada yada. KO's 2 cents IMO was like closing the barn door after the horses got out.

Philbin IMO made a poor choice using RI to toughen up JM. This fiasco IMO is not as bad as bounty gate.

Eric Davis on NFL AM today nailed it much like Ricky W, Antrel Rolle, & Channing.

The Saints had two second round picks taken away from them. Would have been one first round pick, but the Saints had already traded away their pick to the Patriots.

I was wrong. So if Philbin OK'd this we're ****ed. Now we have to hope the latest rumor is false and I got a feeling a lot of snitching is going down just like bountygate and I feel the latest is true. Not good. I would be more OK with the coach being fired than losing picks. I didn't want either but at this point.... Clean house, every body should go. For a bunch of control freaks they have no control. This should be a lesson for all control freaks.

Breaking news in this saga and Olbermann will have more on his show tonight. Likely means lengthy suspensions/firings for Philbin, Ireland, Sherman and Turner. Wouldn't be surprised if guys like Pouncey and Tannehill get some sort of punishment.

Forget looking forward to the draft next year, Goodell will be taking away our first round pick. Maybe even our second round pick.

1. The Dolphins went to the NFL to do the investigation, not the NFL came to the Dolphins about doing an investigation, any information found will be sent to Ross, and the punishments will come from in house, not from the NFL.

2. The Saints tried to hurt players, while the Dolphins hurt some one with words, in appropriates word, but words all the same.

3. Before giving the Saints the punishment they received, the NFL game the Saints a Warning.

4. MOST IMPORTANT: Keith Olbermann is the biggest no nothing douche known to man, and nobody should ever take him seriously on anything.

I posted this in another thread concerning the situation but I thin a cut-and-paste is appropriate in this case:

We aren't getting draft picks taken away from us. Period. The Patriots were penalized by stripping a 1st round draft pick because of spygate - a situation in which they broke the rules by taping opposing teams walk-thrus in order to have a competative advantage. The Saints lost 2 2nd round draft picks because of bountygate - a situation in which they broke the rules (by providing illegal incentives) to their players for taking out targeted players from opposing teams in order to have a competative advantage. The NFL has taken draft picks to penalize teams that have broken rules in order to have a competative advantage on the field - this is not the situation currently facing the Fins. We aren't gaining any competative advantage by having one of our players "bullied".

Why do we lose draft picks? Where is this talk of taking our draft picks coming from? Or is this floated from Goodell's office to initiate prompt action?
We had a bully as a team leader who delighted in oppressing a bright young man. Why do we automatically have to lose draft picks?
