Omar: Bill Lazor intends to get Dolphin offense firing straight

I really like hearing this. I was very happy when we hired Lazor and I can't wait to see bits and pieces of his offense in the preseason.

i think its a distinct possibility tannehill has a monster 3rd year, circa 32 tds 4000 yds. i really like the pieces we've put around him this offseason. i've been trying to trade for him for a while in a 16-team dynasty FF league. been tossing out some bench RB trash who actually have some value due to the size of the league, ie Deangelo Williams, without success. i need to sweeten the deal because i think hes has the potential, in the scheme around him, to be a fantasy stud. as it were, my starter and only QB on my roster is Foles.

Dan was forced out
.

DAN was NOT forced out. i do not know why fans keep on with this. you must have not watched him the last 3 years of his career, especially the LAST 2. AWFUL!!

the problem was not his arm or ability to read, his kness and right leg were SHOT!! dan had a kuzillion knee surgeries over the years starting from year one. THEN, that awful achillies tear that ended his season against the browns and damn neer cut his career short.

in those days, the achillies tear was pretty much a death blow. the science now is LEAPS ahead of what it was then. marino fought back but his right leg had atrophy so bad, it was half the size of his left leg that even caused him circulation issues. he came out gang busters opening day the next season with that 400+ yd game and did good for a couple more years, but, it was obvious dan had lost something and it only got worse. he ended up having NO push of that right leg and he didnt have the zip or accuracy he always had.

jj, who gets all kinds of blame, SHOULD have traded or released him. but, he had so much repect for dan he installed a power run attack to keep him under center. dan fought it all the way with jj taking the heat. then the 6 int game against dallas. then that 70 point drubbing we took from JAY FIEDLER that ended dans career. wannys best move.

DAN HAD THE OFFER to go to the vikings who were loaded across the board, they just needed a qb. they were an absolute sb contender. HE turned them down, said his leggs were shot, and they were.

and he still says that today!! think he didnt want a ring? i just dont know why fans cant accept that.

Egnew sucks.....he even looks lik a lost puppy on the field.........3rd round pick or not, he just needs to go. Bring in Finley or Keller.

Why even say that? We all know he sucks but letting him go and giving up on him would be too easy. He has the potential(assuming based off his draft status), now lets see if Lazor will be able to find and utilize his strengths while incorporating him in this offense. He is 6'5 and could be a nice addition to the receiving corp and the redzone offense!

as long as lazor doesnt call a stretch play on 4th and 1 i think it's an improvement.

Ireland deliberately hindered the offense when he refused to get us an upgrade to Martin. Sherman was just too old, plain and simple as that. Opposing coordinators were able to scheme defensive game plans a lot faster than Sherman could create new and effective offensive game plans.

Agreed. Rex & Bill did not need to come up when playing Miami... it was almost like a bye week?

Both Henning and Sherman were knowledgeable and experienced, but were older, conservative, "safe" choices for the head coach. It may just be my imagination, but it seems to me when you have a rookie HC trying to make a career for himself, does he want a young, innovative OC working for him, who is high risk and high reward, and might even take over his job.....or does he want an older guy who won't screw up and it's a threat to take over? Both Sparano and Philbin, novice coaches, seemed to go for the latter.

Confucius said, "The cautious seldom err" That obviously does not apply to the NFL.

We can even go back to Vanilla Dave's tenure. When you play not to lose; you lose more often than not. Part of Seattle's success is Pete C found someone who has experience and can adapt but is many yrs away from joining AARP.
