  • For those who don't know....Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer is viewed as the front runner to become the Dolphins next head coach because of his existing relationship with GM Jeff Ireland. However, the Dolphins better make sure Zimmer has a good OC in mind. If its Todd Haley....done deal.

Hopes Ross doesn't screw this one up.
 
Boy I hope this isn't another Fisher story. Fisher will pick the Dolphins...then he signs somewhere else (and I was happy about it). Now the media wants to run with this one...although this sounds like pure assumption on Omar's part...and everyone else for that matter, myself included, because of the Cowboys connection. Still, we need some measure of responsible reporting here. It's one thing to talk about it on a messageboard but to put it in print like it's some kind of scoop is wrong.

The thing I'm worried about is that he is heading to tampa tomorrow and peter king said tampa likes him a lot

Be really messed up if he interviews and Tampa offers job. Then we lose our third canidate to another team . Conceivedly we could have lost our top 3 canidates. Ross has to be frustrated he hasnt been able to lure his top choices to the job
 
i'm coming more and more around on mike zimmer...and if you bring in a todd haley as the oc i think thats a solid addition...dc bowles??? i could get down with that triumvirate given the hc must be able to work with ireland

The fact that he has an interview in Tampa Monday makes me worried. What's everybodys thoughts on P.Fewell?

Not sure he would choose bowles as his dc he has worked with other guys since he left cowboys and has other assistants before dallas. Coyle has been the defensive backs coach forever and he may have impressed him

coyle...is he the dbs coach in dallas now??? if so to that i say a massive hell no...that unit is DREADFUL in big d...they kept sorry *** washed up terrence newman a year too long did nothing to upgrade the cb position in the offseason and run the worst free safety in football a couple years ago in alan balle in that cb rotation...that unit blows

Kevin Coyle is the DB coach for the Bengals
 
I would prefer Bowles as DC to maintain some sort of continuity. He did great job this season.
I am not to sure about Haley, what type of O does he run? West Coast?
Zimmer is as good as the others I suppose. ..You guys seem to like him. What the heck do I know.
Hopefully Ireland will wear clean socks and underwear to the Zimmer interview, and keep his elbows off the table at Joes Stone Crabs..
 
Nice. Omar copying PFT and other blogs as his info. Omar is as connected as I am.
