What would you be your best guess?

Here's another example of a team who's been below average at best the past 10 years:
http://prod.www.lions.clubs.nfl.com...-an-hour/270ca8dc-5983-42d2-9ed7-7d71adbc4891
You see what happens when you give the fans ANY hope that things are going to be different and that there is change coming? This team couldn't give tickets away 2-3 years ago, no one would show up to go watch the **** Lions.
Now they are selling out games.
Until the Dolphins show something to get excited about then it will be the same for Miami and the fans. It's been this way for every team that has struggled since the beginning of the league. Stop trying to single out Miami citizens when other cities have had it worst. You guys forget how **** the Cardinals used to be or the Saints and how no one would go to those games before.
And that's exactly what MOST fans of ANY team are: fair-weather. The problem is, people are assuming every fan is a diehard finheavener. That is simply not the case. I know our member count is high, but most are just average, everyday football fans. They go to a game when the can and if it's worth their time and money. THAT is the market the team needs to target. That's where the sellouts come from.Lions fans have had it bad, but I still don't agree with the fans who didn't support the team during their struggles and all a sudden now want to support that team. To me thats a fair weather fan.
I'd totally understand if you didn't want to support a team because the owner was trying to move the team(Sacramento Kings around my area) or if they had other primary objectives rather than winning ( LA Clippers and Cincy Bengals). But to not show support for a team that is spending money and trying to be good is wrong IMO. We may not agree with the decisions that are being made by them but we shouldn't withdraw our support for them either.
Here is a link to last year's attendance numbers, I think the PCT. of capacity is what matters IMO but I'm open to disagreements.
http://espn.go.com/nfl/attendance/_/year/2010
We were 7-9 last year and filled up 90% capacity. We ranked 26th out of the league in capacity percentage. The Bengals and Panthers ranked ahead of us. That just sucks. Again I'm not calling anyone out individually, and I understand that nationally the Dolphins have great fans, but the locally we are definately at the bottom of the league in showing support.
yea......thats how you get some fans on yoru side.....http://twitter.com/#!/OmarKelly/status/111768735391559681

Also, the Dolphins have been pumping crowd noise into practices this week to prepare for a HOME GAME. That is how bad they view the fan base, they expect the stadium to be full of Patriots fans. I have been saying this has been a problem for years but just get told "It's the economy", "Fans won't show up because they don't always win", "Everyone is a transplant", blah blah blah.
Might have taken some time, but local sports writers and even the Dolphins themselves are acknowledging the problems that have realistically been going on for over a decade. Don't give me, "if they win the fans will come", we know that is not the case because of the poor attendance when the team is in the playoff hunt and that playoff games don't always sell out. Not to mention the large amount of opposing fans that show up.
