Omar: South Florida has some of the worst sports fans in the nation

i didnt say it made absolute sense for management thats not my argument.. the point of my post is to show that if the numbers continue to decline the team would be looked at in danger of moving. and you proved my second point. whoever the new team will be in LA will be a fad that would fill stands for at lesat 5-10 or even 15 years, which equals an above board financial investment
Not a chance, if it's ****ty product, it won't make it through the first season. There's as many people in LA, if not more, that don't even want a team there. 2 teams left and nobody gave a ****. It holds as much water as the threat of blackouts.

Phins moving to LA is about the dumbest thing I have ever heard. There are at least 4 teams with infinitely better odds of going there-- Raiders, Chargers, Vikings, Jaguars. The Lakers are kings because they have made almost half of ALL NBA Finals appearances(over 40% of all NBA Finals), they seem to pump out NBA hall of famer after hall of famer and non-stop dynasties. If and when the Lakers ever produce a DECADE of incompetence like the Phins have, you could bet that it will reflect greatly in attendance. This is something our clown owner can't seem to grasp. The Lakers attract celebs and fans because they're always good, not because they have B-list celebs owners.

Even in the crackpot hypothetical scenario where the Phins leave Miami, it would take less than 1 year for an opportunistic owner to move a new team to Miami. It's a good and profitable spot to have a football team.

thus a 12 page argument saying that its NOT...

Are the Phins in risk of going in the red? Didn't think so. LA has lost THREE football teams and it's the 2nd largest market in the country... You'd have to be crazy to think that the Phins moving to LA is a legitimate option. Like I said, even in your crackpot scenario--a new team would move to Miami at the drop of a hat.

It's only good and profitable if you provide a good and profitable product, and then it's great and VERY profitable. It's really, REALLY simple.

Seriously I've said this 3 times on this thread, but I still don't get why fans won't support a team that is TRYING to win. Yes we haven't been great the last few years, but the majority of teams aren't that great either. Yet we've ranked 26th or lower the last 5 years in filling our stadium's capacity. I live in NorCal and have my whole life and I would kill for the chance to see the Fins on an every Sunday basis.

I get that the Dolphins are probably are more recoginizable national team than local but there are a lot of fans that say they won't support us because we haven't won. Thats what Omar(Who I don't like) is saying when he says we don't have a GREAT fan base. The great fan bases support their team no matter what. I wish Dolphin fans in Florida were more like that, but thats only my opinion I guess

I'm from Miami. what cause i had to move up north in my teenage years i am supposed to change my team. lmao you logic is that of a clowns

Well if you're from here that would be different now, wouldn't it? I'm betting most people that are here criticizing aren't, though.

We also have some of the worse sports journalists in the nation, including THE ABSOLUTE WORST.

Hey Omar, that's you, *****. I know you're lurking, and you know who I am because I've approached your punk *** before. Well, you're a ***** and you won't do **** about it.

There lies the problem, the fans in the miami area take the team for granted..those of us outside would love to be able to go to games, especially at the price you pay to see a miami dolphins game. Compare that with the ticket prices here in DC to see the deadskins, it's crazy..and this deadskin team haven't been good in years, but year after year the stadium is sold out and there's a long list for season tickets..and you can't say you don't have a lot to do in DC beside the football team, oh yes we do..I can be all over the area with events every day.

The stadium is not even in miami
maybe they should change the name to the davie dolphins
or broward dolphins :p

Our fans are horrible but hey, win and IT WILL get better. We'll probably never have a great fan base but I think just having a decent fan base is good enough. You mix horrible fans with horrible team this is what you get. But win and more fans WILL show up, not like Packers fans, not like Giants fans, but they will show up. Look at the Heat, hell yeah the fans showed up late, but they went from like 17th to 6th in attendance in 1 season. I know thats mostly because of LeBron but still, thats a big turnaround. And when you're sorrounded by horrible fans, it feels good knowing you're one of the die hards, be proud bro's! lol.

And I just want to say that I really respect the out of state fans that make the drive down here for the game, really shows your loyalty.

The majority of people who post don't actually live in Miami yet still are avid fans and I think that is fantastic.
Here's the part I don't understand. You guys LOVE the MIAMI Dolphins yet have distaste for city of Miami.

The local fans all suck. The local media is terrable. The owners an idiot. It's fine to celebrate the hated Gators here.
The U and the Heat ... criminals and show offs. No one speaks english. It's way to hot and humid. This place and all the people who live there really sucks period.

As someone who was born and raised in this city and doesn't live there any more you guys just don't get it.

It a magical place with fun things going on all the time. If you get bored the beach is 15 mins away. The tree and grass are always green , even in the dead of winter. There is a beauiful golf course or two not 10 minutes away no matter where you live. The fishing is GREAT. The ladies are lovely and usually in bikinis. On south beach you may run into your favorite star because most have a home here.

Everyone comes here when the cold weather elsewhere get imposible to live with. When people retire this is where they come.

As a result MOST people here where not born in Miami.

You wonder why there are so many Jet and Pat fans here ? They moved here because it's a wonderful place to live.

When your snowed in and it's 10 degrees where you live the folks here are at the beach.

So go on and rip the local people all you want to if that make you feel better about yourself but remember.

One day when your old and grey you might be lucky enough to say I'm moving to Miami.

Then maybe you'll understand.

I love Miami and would definitely consider moving there when the time is right.
