He said drew brees was a product of the system that sean payton runs; enough said.
Im sure there are but criticism of the dolphins gets you labeled regardless. I won three straight Debbie downer awards for criticizing team that didn't post a winning season in those three years, hell even been called a Jets fan because I don't accept that type of performance as good.
Im sure most of wish we were writers for the Dolphins, so whether you like him or not he has the gig and will probably keep it for a while
although not number 4, but 6.Where is anyone getting the information that Starks was the number 4 run stopping DT? I'm looking at PFF and he is NOT in the TOP 20 or the Bottom 20. Soliai was our run stopping DT.
Starks has drawn criticism for his run defense at times, but PFF's numbers reveal that Starks is still the sixth-best run-stuffing defensive tackle on a per-snap basis
oh come on, you can't seriously think Omar is just getting criticism for talking negative about the fins? So you think Omar calling out Starks about being a bad run stopper, is legit? Based on what? And he also said Miami needs to draft a qb in the first round...is that really reasonable objectiveness? Give me a freakin break. When people call out Omar, it's mostly because he says some stupid crap.![]()
Not saying its legit but no worse than people that quote pff as proof someone is good. You know the same site that says Wheeler is a good pass rusher .
Omar;' statements are no more dumb than the ones that act ike Jason Fox is an answer to anything
Except Omar is supposed to be a professional, and not sound like a retard. Comparing Omar to some site members says it all, really.
Omar is a professional he gets paid. That's truly all it encompasses. Just because he doesn't fit one's preconceived notions of the profession makes it no less.
From the look of every Kelly thread he gets read by more people than any other Miami writer so in that regard he is very successful.
Just because there are more omar threads than any other beat writer, doesn't mean he's being read more than any other writers. Just means he says more stupid crap that some think warrant a new thread. If he was so successful, he wouldn't be covering just the Miami dolphins. He would have moved on to bigger and better things. Most people want a beat writer that tells of some sort of reality to their team. Whether it's inside info, training camp/ota news, etc. Not dumb opinions based on nothing, and just to get a rise out of his audience. Anyone can write controversial statements, difference is, some is based on some kind of relevance or in the realm of possibility, while Omar's is based off nothing.
Its your opinion its based off of nothing. from what I read around here people want a beat writer that tells them how great their team is no matter what the reality is. If the max of his career is being a beat writer for the dolphins, that's still not such a bad thing. Many people never make it to that level.
Im pretty sure Omar is not the only beat writer viewed this way in the U.S. He has worked for the sun sentinel since 1999, I doubt he is being fired anytime soon.
It's a well known fact that Omar hates QBs and is a big Ravens fan.
it's my opinion that he has no legs to stand on when he says he thinks randy starks needs to work on run defense, because he's not very good at it? Can you please give an example as to how that statement has any validation? Where is the reality in omar's tweet about starks? And i don't care about other beat writers. I can't think of any Omar articles that have been objective and fair, off the top of my head. Hell, even today, Omar said tannehill threw an INT to Wilson, but failed to mention it was a dropped ball, like another writer...why are you hell bent on defending omar, especially on a thread like this, when omar clearly has no idea what he's talking about, on this particular subject.
