Omg Aj Feeley Should Be A Pro-bowler!!!!!

What people don't understand is Feeley has always played in a wco type of system where you throw alot of slants and short passes and let the wr's make plays on the ball and plays after the catch! thats why he feels most comfortable with quick read throws also all qb's I think like to go deep and when Feeley makes his progressions and see's the guy streakign down the field he can get it there and on target!

Oh my God, someone gets it. Joe Montana made a living throwing passes <10 yards and allowing recievers to make plays. AJ has looked good in the last two preseason games! He has done what he has to do to move the ball. Gus is not what we need guys. He missed 4, yes go back and count them 4, open to wide open recievers for either big gains or TD. We just can not have that! Now imagine for a second that instead of Donald "cant catch a cold" Lee that AJ was throwing to Randy, then the ball that Lee droped near the goal line (yes I know it was a good hit by the safety but come on a reciever gets two hands on the ball it must be caught) that AJ would have had another TD last night. AJ looks to have more talent, more poise, and is learning the system. Get off the bus, and hand the keys to AJ to give us some chance to win this year.

Frerotte would have had a long td pass to Chris Chambers early in the game if Chris didn't completely flub the pass. Remember that?

Gus is simply the better pick for us this season because one thing that I noticed him doing in the games that Aj cant do is avoid the pass rush by stepping up, scrambling, and throwing off his back foot. With the sorry state of our O-line, I think that might be the most important thing for a Qb with us to do right now unfortunately.

Lets face facts, we all expect Chris to make that catch but dont blame him for the incompletion!!! To make that catch, Chris had to lay full out and make a amazing play trying to make Gus look good. Now if Gus had other throws that were close like that then maybe i give him some credit but come on, that was as close to a reciever he got outside 10 yards. AJ was hiting his recievers! Plus, Gus didnt do a great job avoiding Pittsburgs rush did he, I dont like a QB that fumbles. Do you think Gruden gave Griese a pass for fumbling vs JT (who just dominated last night) when they could have easily have a field goal. Dont hate the fact AJ has IMO won this job. Now if Saban still goes with Gus, I will support that, but he better put up points or i am going to want the QB that can move the ball and bangs a hot model for my team!!! Gus is a career back up and AJ could be our future leader. Lets try not to ship him off before he has a legitamit chance to shine. remember, most QBs dont show their stuff in a new offense right away!!

Just to fill you in..isn't the West Coast Offense, the best Offensive system ever devised and used effectively by great quarterbacks, a bunch of short passes with plenty of bootlegs and rollouts? HMMMM I'll be watching the game in a few hours on NFL Network. I'll form my own opinions...

Yeah but our offense is what was run by Minny for the past couple of years. They do alot of check down short routes and then take their shots over the top. I believe the use some West Coast in their playbook!

I'm going to make it bluntly clear............

All of you arguing this QB situations are f*ckin' morons. What? Morons? Yes f*ckin' morons. This whole QB debacle has yet again divided fans just because they want so badly to be right. Isn't it amazing that any fan of an NFL team can blindly back AJ Feeley........or Gus Frerotte? Back them to the point they have to come on an internet message forum and argue the same points for months on end...........

Seriously, get a life people. Get tested for autism or perhaps mental r*tardation because your personally biased optimism for either of those two QB's is unjustified and a complete waste of time. I never thought I'd see the day when my fellow Fin fan bretheren would be arguing over a journeyman 34 year old QB who once knocked himself out of a game by head-butting a wall and a 28 year old virtual rookie. That's sad. Especially when you consider who the legend was that used to man the position for this once successful franchise.

Grow up guys.............seriously...............

Dude, I ashure you I have most of my brain working and have tested well above the moron level on IQ tests. I am not blindly backing AJ. I played QB in high school and was recruited by some smaller D2 school. I am will never say I am an expert on the position but I know more than the average fan. I see potential in AJ. He has gained poise, good arm strength with accuracy, and I think he could be a good leader for this team. I see gus as a backup really IMO. Would I like to have more talent at our QB position, YOU DAMN RIGHT!, but we dont have that option. Dan Marino is not coming out of retirement, The chargers are not trading us Rivers, and Carson Palmer is staying in Cincy. We have to go with what we have this year and the best guy for the job is AJ. After the first two games I thought Gus was going to be the man by default but AJ has battled back and show some gumtion (sp?) and won this job IMO. I have loved this team since birth and nobody tells me not to support my team, and I dont care what you think but I will debate who is the best QB for this team because I LIVE and DIE with the dolphins and thats what good fans do. So dont come in here calling me stupid because I love this team and want them to succeed. I may not be able to spell (because I type to fast and am too lazy to go back and proof read) but I do make well thought out arguements and take offense to your r#tard coment!

Nice post Timmy54...couldnt agree more...debating is fine, its when a few bring it to the next level.

As far as enigmatics remark calling all the Feeley Ferrotte debaters morons
thats a pretty wide brush you are using there..:shakeno:

Havent posted much, but have been reading this forum for a few years, and and a good majority here seem pretty normal.I'm one of the few that likes all this discussion about which QB is better,it means Saban brought in competition and that either QB has a shot at being the starter, not like the wanny years.

gusketeers need to realize that gus has no future with this team. so why start him?
you start him as a plug in, Feeley has no future on this team either. after this year we cut Feeley and draft a QB

Well are you going to be patient with a draftee and show him the respect of learning in which you didn't show Feeley.

It seems like deja vu [all over again ;)]
I got tired of hearing the phrase "...gives us the best chance to win" last year. Remember? The Fiedler vs. Feeley controversy? :shakeno:

You dont show Feeley any patience.. he's not new to this league. Hes a veteran.... albeit a 3rd string veteran. Everyone is basing their opinions on thw fact that AJ "was suppose to have this potiential"... We're all STILL WAITING.

This shouldnt even be a QB battle... AJ shoudl've owned this team... it was all his... his job to lose.

This whole preseason reminds me of the Wanny years with Fiedler... This undying love for a guy who really isnt a legit starter..
PLEASE FANS... DONT BE CAUGHT UP IM MEDIOCRITY!!!

CFF, AJ has never started in this league except when D. McNabb was hurt, McNabb was the #1 draft pick, AJ''s first real chance was last year, he was like a rookie, reguardless of how much time he's been in the league, plus he was drafted as a 3rd string player behind a 2 established QB's in philly, and Philly is a good team in developing a player, but face it, if you don't play, you don't get better, so stop the crazy been in the league routine, it's getting old and has no logic in the bases of which you use it. Now add he's had to learn 2 additional O's since arriving, you're keeping him from getting to the instinct portion of playing because he's always learning the system itself and not totally running it, it takes 2 years in a system to be totally comfortable in it..that's real and have been proven over and over again. A legit starter is one who's developed. Remember JT in his 1st 2 years wasn't the JT we know today, he struggled, AJ needs to be allowed to developed as well, next year if he starts this year and plays all season, year 2 in this system is when you will know if he's got it or not. He'll manage this year and get better as the year goes by as he more comfortable in the O, but next year in THE SAME O is when you know if he's player or not..right now, he could be the next, MINI Marino.
