Problem is, pure and simple.... we have two second string QB's that don't appear to be up to the task of doing what's necessary to become a starting caliber QB in this league.
Phinsdude said:Thank You, good post. He did not looked as poised as everyone says, and Gus did more checking off's, Feeley locked on on just about every throw. AJ had LB's dropping into coverage and reading AJ stride for stride. Football people see that stuff, fans don't. They see 1 TD pass.

finfan54 said:While i believe what you are saying, and I notice it myself, he is getting better. but the one he threw to Lee that was lucky and got through the defenders hands would have been a turnover for sure on an experienced LB for some team, and it may have gone the other way for a TD. Those are the things that you will not see out of Gus but you still will out of AJ. I also noticed the ball that was blocked at the line of scrimmage is another example of where the linemen and LB's read him.
Timmy54 said:Oh my God, someone gets it. Joe Montana made a living throwing passes <10 yards and allowing recievers to make plays. AJ has looked good in the last two preseason games! He has done what he has to do to move the ball. Gus is not what we need guys. He missed 4, yes go back and count them 4, open to wide open recievers for either big gains or TD. We just can not have that! Now imagine for a second that instead of Donald "cant catch a cold" Lee that AJ was throwing to Randy, then the ball that Lee droped near the goal line (yes I know it was a good hit by the safety but come on a reciever gets two hands on the ball it must be caught) that AJ would have had another TD last night. AJ looks to have more talent, more poise, and is learning the system. Get off the bus, and hand the keys to AJ to give us some chance to win this year.[/QUOTE
No, I dont get it. I think this is a line of BS. Those slants that your talking about are the ones that get picked and go the other way cus thats all they can do good and the defense knows its coming and then you see 6 points in the other direction.
mixmaster_matt said:(insert sarcasm)... People, look beyond the numbers and watch the games. Feeley might be connecting, but it is against 2nd team defenses for 1 yard and hopes his receivers get some more for him. What has he shown? He can complete 1-2 yd passes, gus could do that if he was asked. I still think Gus is by far the best QB we have and STFU about feeley's completions, b/c a 3rd and 10 play thrown for 2 yds may be a completion, but it is far from a first down....
adamprez2003 said:what are you talking about you wont see that out of gus. he threw that pass on the sidelines that went right threw ronde barbers hands. that wouldve been his second pick of the game. you are going to see alot of interceptions with gus if he doesnt get his game going
fins513 said:ah yes but if they read him the whole time why was there no picks and over a 60% comp. %. Dumb post by u if i say so myself
finfan54 said:So we can count on you to write threads stating "How bout this QB?" for the next year right?
finfan54 said:but its not the type of throw a DB can take for 6 points the other way because the ball is thrown downfield to the sideline. AJ likes the short stuff and the D reads it and wammo, the guy is going the other way. In case you havent noticed, Gus is the one throwing the ball downfield mostly and trying to get on the same page with his recievers. Aj is playing footsie with defenses. I give him credit for the TD pass to Farmer.

All of you arguing this QB situations are f*ckin' morons. What? Morons? Yes f*ckin' morons. This whole QB debacle has yet again divided fans just because they want so badly to be right. Isn't it amazing that any fan of an NFL team can blindly back AJ Feeley........or Gus Frerotte? Back them to the point they have to come on an internet message forum and argue the same points for months on end...........
Seriously, get a life people. Get tested for autism or perhaps mental r*tardation because your personally biased optimism for either of those two QB's is unjustified and a complete waste of time. I never thought I'd see the day when my fellow Fin fan bretheren would be arguing over a journeyman 34 year old QB who once knocked himself out of a game by head-butting a wall and a 28 year old virtual rookie. That's sad. Especially when you consider who the legend was that used to man the position for this once successful franchise.
Grow up guys.............seriously...............

PassRush said:You might have gotten a week off but you are right. Personaly I would rather we start Feeley but it is clear that what I think means exactly dick to Nick Saban. Go ahead, think what you think but dont think that preaching your hatred for AJ Feeley/Gus Ferotte on finheaven.com is in any way going to influince who gets the job; and if the winner of the quarterback competition influinces how much you support the Miami Dolphins, it is truly sad that you consider yourself fans
