Once and for all, IT WAS A FORWARD PASS!

No, he wouldn't. By rule, he's not allowed to throw it.

Well in any event , the play would have been reviewed , just like all plays are and it would have been brought back , because it was a forward pass by all means .

even before the forward pass penalty, it should have been a false start on Brown, he never sets before and is just hopping around before the snap. Refs missed two penalties on that last play. We are very lucky he ultimately steps out of bounds.

NFL refs are a bunch of morons.

Not only that but those morons failed to call a fumble that occurred two plays earlier that Wake recovered.

It was the Dolphin's ball - I am so beside myself with idiotic reffing I cannot stand them!!!

And how about one of these days - once - we get an idiotic call go our way!!!

No way that play would have been overturned.....way too close too call. We got extremely lucky

if footing was solid he isn't OOB, it was lucky. it's ok to admit that. Good teams need luck at times.

Why are you even in this thread? It is one thing to read your crap in a Jets related thread but come-on. Now you are a Dolphins expert commentator?
Your constant belittling of Dolphins fans, especially for games where the Jets are not involved, is getting quite annoying.

Maybe you should get involved more in the Jets playoff thread at TGG (http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=79318). I am sure they appreciate your "football knowledge".

Doesn't matter if it was forward, lateral or back. Dude stepped out of bounds - end of story. We won a tough game in miserable conditions against an opponent who won their last 3 home games of which 2 were rather convincing and was in a playoff berth fight.

It was a good win.

They would have never overturned that, no freakin way. It would have been tragic considering how much our D dominated once we got just the 3 point lead. The Steelers couldn't get a first down. Our guys simply need to do much better job in that scenario. Lots of guys standing around waiting for someone else to make a play.

I totally agree, there is absolutely no way they would have overturned that call IN Pittsburgh. It was just way too close to overturn. I think it might have been a few inches forward, but it was really close. If I would have been the ref I would have called it inconclusive..

I was using the angle of the field, obviously it isnt' a scientific line but it shows how close it was. It was either just barely legal or just barely illegal. No way they could overturn w/ that evidence and thankfully for you guys he stepped out.

I must be mr. magoo then, I am sure you didn't mind that they blew 2 potential PIs on Pitt's 2nd to last possession? but you will argue over this incredibly close play that still went in your favor.

they didn't blow 2 potential pi calls first of all...one of those balls was tipped at the los on the ball outside to Carroll's man and for you to say had the footing been better that's a td by brown is assanine...seriously i don't know how yoiu get away with these masked flaming of this board attempts you do...they didnt miss any calls they just didnt bail out the steelers with some bs

jesus you are digging for anything to put this teams road win and qb down these days...

IMO IF the weather had been better and had been clear , i think we would have beat the Steelers by double digits , our defence would have eaten Big Ben up , because he holds the ball waayyy to long and Wake and OV would have had a field day .

exactly...our pass rush would have gotten after the qbmore...inside and outside...best thing that could happen for us was the heavy snow stopping in the 2nd half...especially for our o...a poor footing game favored them...

that said poor footing had nothing to do with antonio brown stepping out of bounds...he just cut it too wide trying to avoid clemons..looking at it again ellerbe is to the inside in pursuit so he cut it back inside vs take the chance he would get stopped crossing the field...

Were you able to see the coaches film on NFL GameRewind? That's my next step -- gonna check it out today and report back. Hopefully they'll have an angle of that fumble that is good.

the 2 are nothing alike as you still had a great chance to win after Ben bad call while yesterday was the proper call and the last play of the game.

---------- Post added at 12:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:52 PM ----------We didn't have a great chance to win after that blown non-fumble call. We had Chad Henne at QB!

you did get lucky part of his foot was OOB or it would have been one of the worst ways to lose a game of all time.
Agreed. Here's to hoping the zebras would have ruled the entire play illegal due to the motion before the snap.

Wasn't the Music City Miracle a forward pass too?
That is still debatable. We didn't have as good of camera angles as they have today - it looked perfectly parallel - and thus, probably was OK but it's really tough to tell.

Miami should make an effort to prepare for such kind of plays in both ways, stopping and creating a last chance with lateral passes.
