I'm shocked Flores let him go. If it was a genuine firing, that sucks. The dude left NE to come help Flores build this thing, then gets cut after 1 year.

But, perhaps you're right. If Flores and O'Shea already know McDaniels is leaving NE, maybe O'Shea asked to go back and take the OC gig. I hope this is the case as opposed to "performance." O'Shea did some mighty fine work with what he had. And to bring in ANOTHER offense next year for the guys to learn, ugh.

I’m guessing it isn’t performance-based. Who wants to bet there were philosophical differences between the HC and OC that we never caught wind of because Flores runs a really tight-lipped program?

They're from the same cloth with the Patriots. I'm guessing you're inaccurate in that assessment and this seperation has nothing to do with performance/phiolosphy.
