Landed Revis and Browner. Wow. How do we match up? Their pass defense was soft last year - it won't be this year. Does this alter our draft plans at all? If so, how? If not, why not?

That's assuming Revis stays healthy and/or Browner's pee samples stay clear. If not then all bets are off!

Looks like we are going skill on O and that means Ebron or WR and Oline and DT rd 2 and 3 with a RB in Rd 4 - me thinks

revis for talib is practically a wash, I really dont think browner is that good. Seattle's secondary improved when Thrumond took Browners place. Most likely that pats do what they did last year and blanket Revis over clay. That leaves Browner on Wallace and no way he can keep up so that draws the safety leaving Hartline and Gibson in 1 on 1 coverage against guys who i cant name. I like our chances. All we need is our line to hold up so we can keep them honest with the run game (no wilfork most likely) and need to hold up against their pass rush which is definitely no slouch.

first browner is overrated. second revis isn't and wont be the revis of old.

I don't know where anyone thinks Browner is overrated. He's big, physical, good ball skills, decent hands. His forte is controlling the WR, forcing the issue for position. He's very solid. Whether he's overrated depends a bit on how highly you thought of him to start. But yeah, he's a probably 1b on any team, 1a on many.

Yeah this isn't true at all.

i think this means we must have a solid run game , preferably power running game with someone who forces 8 in the box then we pick and choice when we throw at those guys. They are beatable but it'll be tough if they know we're throwing every down.

You dont beat the Pats in a shootout. The way to beat the Pats is by physically manhandling them. Old style football. Hard hitting defense and physical, grind it out running game. Control the clock and you beat them. That basically renders their recent CB moves moot.
They are clearly shooting for Denver/Manning.
We need to shoot for them. In recent yrs they have been manhandled by San Fran and Seattle. Thats the formula.

As Josey would say..."Now remember, when things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is."

Browner is decent but he struggled against quick shifty type Wr's
