our top 5 QB'S since Marino?

? You know something I don't know. What'd he do?

I can't even remember which exactly, but he either played Joey Harrington scared or he melted down when he was needed the most. Those are the two things I can't forgive in a QB.

Griese had a rookie Wade Smith at LT which might have been the worst lineman play we've ever had. He was blown up every play. Wannstedt put him in a ridiculous position. I'm not saying the guy was good, but Wanny was almost vindictive towards anyone who wasn't Fiedler.

I hated Fiedler, but I think I'd put him slightly ahead of Pennington. Pennington was a lot smarter, but Fiedler had the better arm. Dolphins also relied a lot on Ronnie Brown running wildcat plays that year.

I don't agree with this. I think the problem is the fans always perceived the backup QB was better than Fiedler whether it be Brian Griese, Damon Huard, AJ Feely or Ray Lucas but that just wasn't true. I Remember the Griese year and how Jay Fiedler relieved him at halftime during a Redskins game that we were doing nothing on offense and we came back and won. We were a better team with Bum A (Fiedler) than any of the other bums, that's why Wanny played him. I believe the love affair between Wanny/Fiedler was just something butt hurt fans used to say because the backup QB they thought was better than Jay wasn't playing.

Huard never got a chance with Wanny at the helm! Although he did play in relief of Marino a couple of times and was pretty good! And then got traded later and ended up in KC and looked pretty good. Much better than what Fiedler could have done! I cringed every time Fiedler went to throw a pass!
Ontop of it all Fiedler was so bad passing our RB's got run to the point of exhaustion! And Ricky was tired of being run so much that he chose another outlet! Lamar Smith had several big games and then you never really heard from him again after being run to death!

That Patriots game in 2008 was AWESOME. BB didn't know what hit him!

R Brown looks like the Water Boy throwing the winning TD against Red Beaulieu...Twinkling eyes and all.

Seriously though...Pat White and his incredibility small head that they could not find a helmet to fit is #5 on my list. What has the Franchise been thinking the last 20 years?

Fielder took a solid lineup and got embarrassed when he did make the playoffs....like 7 interceptions and 1 td in two embarrassing playoff losses.

Top five D and running game carried that journeyman loser.

Top two are Pennington and then Tannehill....at this point.

What a joke...Pennington almost won the NFL MVP award.....Fielder was a mediocre QB.

AP NFL MVP Voting

Associated Press | January 2, 2009
NEW YORK -- The voting for the 2008 NFL Most Valuable Player selected by The Associated Press in balloting by a nationwide panel of the media:

Peyton Manning, Indianapolis 32

Chad Pennington, Miami 4

Michael Turner, Atlanta 4

Adrian Peterson, Minnesota 3

James Harrison, Pittsburgh 3

Philip Rivers, San Diego 2

Chris Johnson, Tennessee 1

Kurt Warner, Arizona 1

Still amazed to this day the small faction of Dolphin fansfans that still hold on to the fantasy that Fiedler was a good NFL QB.

Pennington was 2nd in the MVP voting....Fiedler was a journeymen.

I love how people hate on Fiedler. He was limited but always played his ass off. The last year or so his body was breaking down unfortunately. But don't we all miss the deep ball from Fiedler to Chambers? Much better than Tannahill to Wallice.......

Thinking about this makes me want to cry. Are we talking talent or production? Just spitballing...
1. Chad Pennington
2. Ryan Tannehill
3. Trent Green
4. Jay Fiedler
5. Gus Frerotte
* Matt Moore - not enough of a sample size to judge
