Overpass supposedly collapses near Dolphin Expressway (Updated)

Hey guys... My power just came back on.. Woohoo! I made it through the cane not to bad. We have a good amount of of branches and trees down around here. No tree's fell in my yard, just some large branches and lots of debris. My fence has seen it's last days and parts of it fell over, I can prolly fix it though. :) This was one powerful CAT 1... Overall though, no major damage on my house that I can see so far. I feel very fortunate that I made it out pretty good and nothing major happened. I'm ready for some football... Lets Go! Lets Go! Woooooooo

I wonder how Awsi Dooger is doing. He said it was like a hitch**** movie outside of his house last night, I wish him luck...

Well that damn Katrina is strengthening QUICK and forecast to come my way up here in the panhandle. Someone needs to turn the hurricane magnet off here. It's max sustained winds are 100mph now with 120 gusts. Cat. 2 already with lots of warm gulf water between her and me

Katrina made landfall at Hallendale Beach, FL
That is several miles east of Dolphins Stadium
I believe power is out from Homestead, throughout Downtown Miami northward to Hollywood/Fort Lauderdale and into parts of the Palm Beaches.
My sister called from Coral Gables, its a madhouse out there

Id imagine Dolphins stadium to be trashed

I"ve seen hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards, floods, etc. And I've always, ALWAYS, came up to the same conclusion................

Don't piss off mother nature. She owns it all, we just borrow it.

Dade County residents that still have power or anyone else that knows this, because I dont remember...how close is this collapse to Dolphins Stadium...it happened in Doral, the Stadium is in Miami Gardens.

Nah, the Doral area is no where near the Stadium. So no worries there.

The one who I am worried about is my brother who's a cop in the Doral area and I have yet to get a reply from him as to how the situation is down there.

yeah its a category 1 hurricane... nothing major(edit: from where i'm sitting in coral springs... bad winds and ain but nothing horrible yet), you can actually check it out on google earth (earth.google.com) download this place marker and one of the overlays is the hurricane itself

Once you have google earth installed rename the attached file (take of the .txt) and it will take you right to the stadium and thewhats actually happening down here

bro, thanks for the hook up on the website. its awesome!

One of the people that died due to Katrina was my friends ex boyfriends best friend.A tree fell on his car while he was in the parking lot of a high school

They're saying now it could be a Cat. 4 hurricane. If it goes the way they're predicting. It will come through here eventually.
