Patriots, Jets still better than us.

If teams can pick up the Jets's blitz packages, there are going to be some toasty CBs in the Meadowlands. And that's a big if for some teams.

You're really going to like Patterson as long as he can stay healthy...IF he can stay healthy. (That's also a big if.)

Re: Smith...he's definitely shown flashes. If Morninwheg can get him productive long-term, more power to him. My question with Geno Smith has always been his accuracy. If he can improve on that consistently, then he's going to cause problems for other teams.

w/ the DL we have and w/ Coples and Babin I think we will have the best pass rush we have had under rex w/o blitzing.

Patterson was AWOL for 2 days so who knows if we can count on him? corner is our biggest question mark, my hope is we have a better pass rush to mask the problems at corner.

are you guys still playing a 3-4? Cause Babin was horrible as an OLB

I'd be amazed if Patterson stays healthy all year. He's never been able to do it before.

Apparently the Patterson thing was a miscommunication...he was dealing with a family matter, if memory serves. Just didn't go through the right channels of communication.

Babin will be a guy w/ his hand in the dirt, his role is to rush the passer and nothing else.

I hope it was an innocent thing but I find it a little hard to believe.

The Jets are TOUGH AS NAILS, physically and more importantly mentally. They are also STONE COLD, BATTLE HARDENED, KID TESTED AND MOTHER APPROVED."Now lets go eat a F&%king snack!"

Dimitri Patterson suspended indefinitely.

I realize they feel they have to do something to make a statement, but Patterson is damn good when healthy.

If they're smart they'll reactivate him after a week, say he had some terrible family situation and that it was all a mix-up, and put him in there to be their best CB.

word is the suspension will be brief but there are still many questions to be answered. hopefully it turns up positive for us.

The Patriots offense is the opposite of the rest of the division. They are led by a dominant QB behind a dominant OL with a dominant TE. They have mediocre RB's and the worst corps of WR's in the division.

.

How do"mediocre" RB's finish in the top 10 in rushing in the NFL?

Thinking Jets CB's not able to hold up all season vs. this division. They will bring some dynamic funky stuff on offense. They get entirely too much cred for a run game even if it is better than ours. I think the WR's are still shaky but better than last year.

The Bills are the same as last year. screen pass left, screen pass right. defense took a hit at LB. Safeties took a hit. EJ Manuel is a bust folks. Half of Buffalo is already given up. He has not made any impressions in camp let alone on camera.

The Pats. Well, they are better than last year. I think there OL is avg. and tackles are overrated. There RB's are deep and will be used. Edelman is the new Welker. But.....but... I think they are thin at NT and fat man rocks has an Achilles. Not seeing it for an entire season. LB's are good in this system and the new stud is chandler. Ninkovich is a bitch...to us finfans. Revis is still great but not as great as he used to be. He can be beat but you have to pick your spots. Not sure they upgraded overall at the position with depth. Safeties are same. No probowlers here. I see them winning 12 games. I hate to say it. If we could somehow muster a second win over them in Foxboro in DEc. they they win 11. Not counting on it. I do think we surprise week one. We have to or I think its sets a bad tone for success for us. Tom Brady gets hurt, its over. But aint happnin.

Ummm...they were 21st and 22nd in yards last year, 700+ each, 60 ahead of Lamar Miller. What are you referring to for top 10?

bottom line for me is that if the Jets or Bills cannot beat New England, then its not really even worth it. For anyone else to take NEw England in this division, it requires a total effort from the AFC East to beat on them. Not seeing it.
