Pats played a very good D for their 3rd game..I think they learn a lot about them self. Jets actually beat the giants the first half. If we show really well, like put up 20 + points on the cowboys our first 3 quarters, I may feel better about our OL.which to me is the largest unanswered question. Running D is 2nd for me. Can we stop someone determine to run. I bet NE put us to the test on that.

The reason we didnt go to the playoffs last year is because we didnt beat the teams we were suppose to. We should look for execution and our rookie LB's improving our cast and Shelly Smith winning this job.
 
We also need to look for no PI calls. That is going to cost us a game or two unless it's fixed.
 
The giants suck and Carolina doesnt know how to cover the spread. They probly didnt care much about this game in NE. I certainly see issues at LT for Carolina. That team may drop a notch. In other words, we would beat them this time around IMO from last year.

I did notice Mallett came in second quarter then Brady came back in. Thought that was interesting for preseason.
 
Eric Decker? Please, get him away from Manning and he is an average WR at BEST

actually mallett went in with over 5 minutes left in the first quarter. it was interesting. I feel they did that to see how he would do with all 1's in. Basically a last ditch effort to see if he's worth keeping as the backup.
 
We are a significantly better team than the Jets and the Bills. However, unfortunately for us we don't match up with either team very well which is why we always play them very closely. Both teams have good D-lines…the Bills D-line is very very good in my opinion. And both teams can run the ball effectively compensating for their inadequacies at QB.

So yes we are better..but they will be tight games.

As for NE…they are beatable…but they are still NE and Brady is still Brady. Im hoping we can catch them with their pants down in game 1. We will have to execute to perfection
 
I will readily admit the Pats are better than we are, of course they are. They have just looked vulnerable n the past few years.

I expect the Jets to have a good defense and not much else.

Its kind of a stab in the back to the other team IMO for preseason. I mean, its generally consideration to let the other team know how long you plan on playing your starters. just a touch low class unless Brady had a stinger or something, which didnt see in the least.

Just got off Patriots website where they say BB wanted to win this 3rd preseason game because they have lost the last 4 in a row. So there is this "look at us" again attitude in preseason. Very unlike BB in the past.

Also they are having trouble covering TE's apparently. Browner out for first four games so one of two players will be playing. I imagine RT will be picking on them.

To beat the Bills, you must cover the RB's like a glove on every play. They screen pass them all day with heavy dose of run. You stop those two, you win. easier said than done. But you would think Philbin and co. would figure this out after 2 years of seeing it. They even run it multiple times in preseason. Will be watching at 4:30 today.

BTW, I am going to the Bills game in a few weeks and will be upfront in the endzone first row. I will be screaming about the screen pass all day to our guys. lol
 
and we need multiple people watching all the fire alarms in the team hotel.
 
The Bills have beaten us because their secondary always gets more Int's than ours. It's been that way for over a decade.

The Jets defense played well for the third preseason game. The difference from last year was the decisions made by Geno Smith. Their offense should be better this year. I am not convinced they are a better them than the Dolphins, but they should be better than last year.

The Bills sweeping us with their back up QB twice says something. That team is good enough to beat us without a QB.
The patriots look like they have added a few more of our former players and have a deep ball passing game again. Good defense, running game and Brady
The Jets play good defense and run the ball...we cannot stop the run. Their QB will be better this year with a new TE and another WR.
3-3 sounds about right.

the patriots have absolutley no vertical threat in their passing game, as long as gronk is not ready, they hope dobson will be that guy but he is always injured, and their running game has struggled as much as ours through preseason, the jets secondary is a disaster, so is EJ manuel
 
Geno Smth and Vick do not scare me in the least. No question the Patriots are better. That is who we are chasing in the division. The Jet's and Dolphins are very evenly matched I don't see how you can say they are clearly better than us. We have way better WR's overall. The defenses are even in my opinion with the exception of our linebackers. The Bills still have a ways to go and the injury to Kiko Alonso hurts them bad. The Bills only beat us twice last year because our terrible o-line could not block Mario Williams or his is "Grandmother" for God's sake! LOL!
