Patriots, Jets still better than us.

qbs aren't close b/t the jets and miami...why did i even come in here to read that crap :rolleyes2:

jets are gonna run the ball heavily and use the qbs legs also a ton...it's a bad recipe when you have a poor lb core like we do...so i won't rule anything out when we play them...

the key to getting after the bills d is attacking the lbs in space and coverage...make them cover run clear outs and arrow routes and wheel routes and get spikes in man coverage in space...nigel bradham is a pretty good looking lb i just don't know if he's suspended when we play them week 2...but the weakness is the lbs in coverage...miami must attack it with this heavy pass to the backs scheme...cause god knows we are gonna have our hands full with that defensive front

jets stop the run dont let the qb beat you with one read and take off stuff and attack the secondary in the passing game...and get ready for a lot of read option with them also...

both young and unproven, Ryan is a little more proven which is why I give him the edge but I can't get the image of him gagging to end 2013 out of my mind so that may be clouding my judgement.

Still not sold on geno but he's had great camp after finishing strong a year ago which gives me hope.

talk to someone that cares cause it's not me

just being honest

I wouldn't expect someone calling Ryan a young, more athletic Brady to ever engage in a civil, meaningful discussion.

Just b/c I respond to some of your posts doesn't mean I care either. Now please go run and hide again.

I think NE is going to win the SB and be a 14 win type of team. Brandon LaFell is going to be a huge addition and w/ Gronk back they have real weapons again. defensively they add the best corner in the game and get Wilfork back healthy. I am afraid we will see the Lombardi go back to Foxboro this season.

:boohoo:

I hope you're wrong man

I hope so but the good news is the Pats reign is coming to an end sooner than later.

Not convinced anything is coming to an end. BB may move on at some point but there are possibly good replacements in place and they may have found their qb of future.

NE is all about Brady, at best he plays 5 more years? once he's gone BB is smart enough to walk away knowing Brady is why he succeeded in NE.

I'm convinced that BB will trade Brady for 4 1st rounders right before his 40th birthday, then they will use those picks to get the next brady, Moss, Bruschi, and Law.

Pats may already have Brady's successor in garrapolo...that kids got a sweet quick release and some talent to develop

He probably will since he hs proven enough. Show me any hall of fame coach that didn't hAVE A great qb. At least show me a few.

how many were complete failures until they got the QBs?

a few SB winning coaches w/o great QBs:
Parcells
Gibbs
Coughlin
Shula didn't win w/o a great QB but he made one w/ Woodley

I can go on.

BB was a complete failure w/o Brady and was failing in NE until Brady stepped on the field and rescued his career.

Garrapolo could be really good, he won't be a top 5 all time QB. there will be a huge step down from Brady

u oversimplify winning. No qb no matter how good wins it all by themselves. if people want to believe that Belicheck is an average coach that only wins because of Brady its an opinion but not a good one.
No coach should only be defined by one short stint in Cleveland. Brady went down and The Pats still won 11 games with Cassell as Qb.
Pete Carrol failed with two teams and still somehow is considered one of the better coaches in the league. If a great qb is all u need than Manning and Marino should have a 5 rings a piece.

people always say that but they went undefeated w/ Brady starting the year before and w/ a MUCH weaker sched they won 11 games and missed the playoffs when he went down. a 5 game difference is HUGE

Pete didn't get a fair chance in NY or NE

BB is a great coach but he would be a DC somewhere if not for Brady. he has developed into great HC but he never gets that chance w/o Brady.

Too old to argue and that is sad (original poster) I remember when most posters were knowledgeable and mixed it in with the ability to think outside of the box and not use personal bias, hatred and feelings get in the way of talking football. I do not mind guys who are too pessimistic or those that are too optimistic, but what forces me out of the blogging world is people that post simply for negative attention with no basis in reality. Used too I would happily feed the troll, now I look at these posts and get tired and drained. Because deep down these kind of statements are used to provoke, these people are not interested at all in facts or looking beyond what is right in front of them (2D thinking)

I am not actually talking about any one person (or original poster); I am talking about the huge increase of unrealistic, emotional, troll-like statements that is happening in all sports, on all blogs. It is obvious the new generation was ignored a child and they are searching for anything that will give them the attention they crave and believe even negative attention is better than nothing.

It is sad but I think eventually most will eventually tire and the majority of forum posters will be trolls just trying to out-do each other, funny yes, but only for a short time.
