Per Jackson- Marino interested in working for Dolphins and Steelers

Marino would be grat fro charity golf tournaments. That's about it. I love the guy but he is not an astute business man or a crafty administrator.

give. dan. a. job.

for the very least to make the media stfu about it and give us some positive press.

Would also hurt Marino's image.

why would it hurt his image any where but miami and to miami fans...what it should say it the leadership here is still as bad as the last time I tried this...It could also say I want to be in the city I was born and raised in...

Did we know that elway was a crafty admin before he took over the broncos?

Yes we do. He ran an arena football team, was an executive in league offices, and also owns and operates a chain of car dealerships.....all before he took over the Broncos.

What Ross should do is create an advisory board of the Dolphins and put some carefully-selected guys on it to help with the strategic vision for the team and to bring Ross a little closer to the football end of things. Make Marino and Peterson the first two appointments and try to get Jason Taylor on there too. Pay them a salary and use it as a platform to decide if there are more specific roles and responsibilities that can come from the board members in taking the team forward.

Hickey/Aponte/Philbin/CEO would still report to Ross, but he would have regular advisory board meetings to assist his decision making and shape the future.

LMAO at anyone that thinks Marino would actually go through with and work for the Steelers.

This would destroy his image amongst the Fins faithfull.

Sure, probably a power play by Marino to either get more money, or get a job above being a Christmas Tree ornament, signing autographs and taking pictures.

yup

I think the chances of ever seeing him on the sidelines coaching anyone is less than 1%. That's just not where his heart is. He is an icon....no way he ends up on the sidelines in any capacity. GM or President is about all that I could see him doing.

If you don't believe that him seeing his buddy Elway living it isn't bringing out the old competitive nature those two had for so many years you're crazy.

Wow... Steelers? I swear to god.

Hey, if Dan wants to go to Pittsburgh...let him go and good riddance. Can't believe the Hall of Famer would ever put it out there that he would work for the ****in Steelers. Who knows, maybe he has some children running around there. Are you ****in kidding me Dan? ****. Go work the the Steelers...might be the best thing you can do for our franchise at this point.

Loser comment right there. Can't we celebrate our freedom to work where we want to without slamming their moral behaviors?

He was in PA longer than he was a Dolphin.

Regardless....If he wants to go to the Steelers, let him.
He quit h ere before, and, he'll quit again.

Doesn't matter how long he was in PA....and by the way...He has now lived in South Florida much longer.

His heart is with the team he represented for 17 years....childhood fanhood pales next to that bond.

I've been saying this for a while now. Make Zach Thomas part of that group and some other great dolphins.

So the hell what,Ive quit **** before to at places that treted me badly or showed they didnt care ! You act like quitting is always the fault of the individual that quits or something, and its not ! How do you know everything that happenned that caused it ? You dont, and neither do I,and neither does probably anyone on here know all the details for that matter !

I hate somebody that tries to judge or put everything all in the same dam box, especially with no idea probably of the entire situation ! Dan never quit on the field, and I dont think he would have quit the job either if there were not some things that probably were'nt right ! Again though,I can give the man a benefit of the doubt and a 2nd chance,if you cant, thats you,but for what he could bring to the team I am willing to take a look and see,as I said,Ireland and the rest hadnt done a dam thing in the last 10 years,I would say theres no way in hell Dan would have done ANY WORSE either !

And who said anything about dam magical powers, you been watching Harry Potter or something ? The position he plays has NEVER neen brought into it anywhere I have read ! And again, maybe he knew the role they wanted him to play,he was'nt going to be able to prove it in that capacity,so instead of just being a figurehead and taking a teams money for that,he said no,I can actually appreciate that more than someone just wanting to take money to be a figurehead !

Again though, all speculation,I dont know,I admit I dont know everything that happenned, but seems like maybe you do from your judgements,so tell me all the details behind him leaving before ? Or again,is he just "in the box" he quit, its his faault no matter what !!! I guess your saying the team and owned can do no wrong in that case !
He quit. If he wanted to prove it, he'd've put in work, but he quit.
You don't just get granted magical powers because you were a QB.
