Perkins - Dolphins have bigger problems than Tannehill

Is that what you got out of the article?

Finfan, you could ask a lot of these people that question, some people are going to see, what they want to see, and nobody is going to convince them of anything less.

i know i didnt just read a leveon bell and reggie bush comparison...lol...ones 205 soaking wet the others 225...big difference for running the ball inside...at least make the comparison a close one physically

bells got some sweet feet though...i'm not surprised..said so when i evaluated him as a prospect and gave him a 3rd round grade and on my board...that weight loss has helped his quickness though...catches the ball like a scat back also...good player

No I didn't read it. I didn't need to. We have many on this board who have expressed a similar opinion I am sure. I was only asking to make sure I can understand why so many people have an issue with others criticizing his play.

Well, if you had read it, you would have realized that Perkins didn't say that Tannehill didn't deserve criticism.

Funny he gets bent out of shape for being criticized on commenting on something he didnt even read. Wtf did he expect?

Our young QB who had an improved season last year has suddenly regressed, it's not illogical to assume it's the coaching.

I agree, in both loses Tannehill isn't in the top three reason we lost, unfortunately he can't be said to be the reason we won, that's becoming the problem. Way to many people on here want and believe it's normal to get instant gratification. I'm a huge Tannehill fan and still expect him to be our franchise QB. But I don't think pulling him and taking a step back would be a bad thing at this point.

Yea, the run D is a huge problem.......

When Tannehill leaves them on the field all day.

Let's blame the D for giving us 2 points directly, setting us up for an easy TD(our only one of course) and holding the opponent under 20 till late in the 4th qtr, only to finally collapse from having been on the field most of the game while trying to keep every opponent under 17 points. :rolleyes2:

Still trying to figure out how you get a safety, 150 yds rushing, no int's, win turnovers by 2-0, and still get your ass handed to ya.

He is a lot higher than #5, the score was 21-15 going into the 4th don't forget with the D accounting for 9 of those points....My top 5 problems are 1. RT, 2. tackling, 3. special team coverage unit 4. coaching 5. WR
agree. The game was just sitting there at 21- 13 and 15 forever it seemed. Felt like we had 16 3 and outs during that period. Awful.

My top 2:

1) Coaching
2) Tannehill
3) tackling

Please stop with blaming the Oline, those guys are doing there job. Tanny just folds in the pocket just like Henne used to...I see no former WR in Tanny at all.

bang on!!!

Perkins is giving his opinion. He is not as close to the team, or understand what is going on as most fans. He is giving a opinion for the national audience to consume.
The biggest problems with the Fins winning games are as follows:
Philbin (wrong man to coach)
Tannehill (bad draft pick)
OC / DC play calling (not sure why this is happening)
Ross (hapless owner)
Defense tackling (small secondary, poor athletes at LB)
WR's drops (see Ryan tannehill)

It's a crying shame that Dave or Mike Shula didn't inherit their old man's gumption and coaching ability. It could have turned out much, much better!

Our young QB who had an improved season last year has suddenly regressed, it's not illogical to assume it's the coaching.

Logic would tell us it's the learning curve needed for a QB and WRs to adapt to a new offense and for 5 lineman, who have never played next to each other, to gel as a unit. We all want "plug and play" but that's not reality.

Good to have you back SOS :brewskis:

here's us Dolphin fans watching the team this season.
