thanks for the info. If he drafts as well as JImmy in rounds 2-7 I"m psyched. He just needs to draft better in round 1 than Jimmy.

marinotoclayton said:Why wouldn't he draft a Qb. to me it makes sense. Because none of the Qb's on the roster do not impress anyone. And this is a perfect opportunity to draft a qb we have a low pick. With all the backs that are in the draft this makes even more sense. because there is no clear cut back to pick. And every coach wants a Qb that he can call his own.
Noodleman said:Just heard Peter King on the Dan Patrick show. I will summarize what he said. First, Saban wants to trade down get more picks(we all know this). Second, he said Saban will be very tempted to take the loser of the Rodgers/Smith pick. The reason he gave was that he believes Saban will be reluctant to pay a 10-15 million dollar signing bonus at a position that he sees as loaded in the draft and in free agency. Lastly, he said Saban reminded him of JJ, not Spurrier. He said Saban works harder than Spurrier ever did(like JJ with the Cowboys. Thats it. Sorry if this has been posted.

I do. Name one QB that could have played in our system last year?
Which is the harder position to find? I see some teams that have 2-3 guys that could get a 100 yards like carolina, KC, GB, Minny etc. Qb is a premium position because of demand and shelf life. RB isnt because they grow on trees and their shelf life is tiny.bigmiamifan said:So a 10-15 million singing bonus is OK for a green QB that won't play for 1-2 years, but it's no OK for a RB who will play immediately because there are cheaper RBs who won't be as good later in the draft?
