Here is the other thing...they could promote Brian Gaine. It is still the best fit. All of this talk about Senior Bowl and talking to the coaches etc. is out the window. He knows what Joe wants. He fits with Aponte. Gaine is respected in the league.

Maybe he should be promoted and see how it goes next year. IF, it fails, clean house and start over for real.

Was Gaine interviewed for a promotion other than the fins this year? I think he has in the past.

I'll wager that Gaine stays put in the same position, unless the new GM says otherwise.

Gaine has interviewed for the Jets and Rams jobs, and I think was approached by the Bears (not totally sure on that one).

My call is Farmer and others. I think Ross is going all out to create a front office power house. He will spend the money needed to out scout out work every other team out there. And yes..I think Farmer will get title of GM...but I think Xander is coming as well.
