I guess this puts to rest Tua is a one read QB.
One can only hope.

So obsessed with other team's QBs.He also did a breakdown of Mac Jones recently I believe.
I haven't looked at it yet, I don't know what he said, but remember to keep your opinion consistent.
If you believe Manning talking up Tua means a lot, you can't say it means nothing for Mac on the flip side.
Maybe he trashed Mac though, I really don't know.
I agree that his health is the big issue with Tua. As far as him cleaning up his errors is concerned. Every QB in the league makes bone headed decisions from time to time. So I expect he will likely make some more bad throws over his career but he has the ability to not let those plays get him down.Great breakdown (obviously) by Peyton. And a fun video to watch if you're a Tua fan. I'm excited where he is already, but he needs to clean up some of his errors and stay healthy to be considered great. I think he's on track.
Yup, which is why I'm not worried.I agree that his health is the big issue with Tua. As far as him cleaning up his errors is concerned. He is one of the top QB’s in 4th quarter rankings and he is still adjusting to playing in the NFL.
Well, I would say his internal clock is telling him to get rid of the ball quickly. But definitely looks like he does a good job of keeping his eyes down the field. Maybe with more time to throw, we'll start seeing those deeper calls more!Sounds logical. However, on the other hand, with Tua playing behind a line that got him injured and puts him under constant pressure, is Tua actually checking his reads or is he in self-preservation mode and scanning for approaching defenders? I wouldn't be surprised if it's a little of both!
Ian Book did once break a cheerleader's nose with a throw.
Tua's just getting started. The respect is coming now. He's already the best in the division, next year I believe he makes a play for best in the AFC behind Mahomes. Mac will regress once D coordinators get more and more tape on him. Another draft and we'll be in position to win the division next year and I haven't ruled out the miracle of getting it this year
IMO the Jets did a good job of confusing Tua and with no WR capable of getting consistent separation, Tua adjusted by running more. IMO scramble was the right decision there. Hopefully, the pass pro will improve and we'll get more games where wait and throw decisions will be the right choice. As I continue to watch videos produced by experts, I am getting a better feel for the criticism that have no basis. Some of the ridiculous statements are:
Also, his strengths are beginning to become crystalize
- Tua only goes to his first read.
- Tua cannot go through his progressions (1st - 2nd - 3rd - and back to 1st touchdown kills that one).
- Anyone can throw it 2 yards like Tua (silly Giants CB).
Some of his challenges are:
- Ability to use his eyes to move defenders.
- Good ability to anticipate where the receiver will be early in the route.
- Ability to be extremely accurate when set
- Ability to be lightening quick catch to release with reasonable accuracy (Parker touchdown)
- Ability to keep the sack count and pressure count low via the quick recognition and release
He was off during the Jets game, but I like how he is growing during this season.
- Ability to freelance or adjust when he is fooled pre-snap.
- Mechanics when under pressure.
- Ability to check into the best play when numbers are not in your favor.
- Scramble versus wait and throw decisions
- Too many dumb throws and/or mistakes.
- Taking what the defense gives you (does it most of the time but still room for improvement)
BingoSo obsessed with other team's QBs.

And I agree. I see posts where people claim that people are sensitive whenever Tua is criticized. I don't believe that's the case. People are sensitive to hearing the same inaccurate or baseless criticisms repeated over and over. If you're the poster that thinks people are sensitive to your criticisms of Tua then it's probably b/c you're a poor evaluator of QB play.
