PFF "Cumulative Quarterback Summary" for 2013

I'm a Tannehill fan. But, it is too complex to gage accurately without watching the games. For instance, an INT on a game ending Hail Mary is not as bad as an INT on a crucial 3rd down in the fourth quarter that could have set up a game winning score. Stats look at them the same way though. If a WR falls down or a TE tips a ball to a DB, those count the same as throwing it directly to a defender. Stats don't really take lack of a run game into account. Etc., etc., Etc.

This list, just like the QB rating and ESPN's rating, means very little. I watch the games and it is clear Tannehill is in the top half of QB's and continually improving. He needs to work on his deep ball. But, Luck and Tannehill are clearly the class of the young QB's in the AFC. Once Peyton and Brady step down, we will be talking about Luck vs. Tannehill as the best in the AFC. Our future is bright.

I don't need to read it, I see the list. That is enough for me to laugh at it.

make all the OL excuses you want, Ryan had chances to get that team to postseason and failed. The only reason they were even in the race was b/c the D carried them most of the year.

Seattle's OL gave up a higher rate of sacks, somehow their QB stepped up and made plays.

Brady had no talent around him and led his team to the title game, Ryan had a much more talented team around him and couldn't even get to postseason.

This explains so much about your low football IQ.

Junc's got a conundrum here: he's choosing to disagree with PFF's rating methodologies cuz it puts Tannehill in a more favorable light than he's been trying to spin.

On one hand, it's consistent with defending a QB who he's on record as refusing to take 2 first rounders for because "we've got our Franchise QB," that PFF's same methodology has ranked 09-12 as 39th of 40, 28th of 37, 37 of 38 and 32 of 34 bottom of the barrel league level, (and 3 of those 4 years objectively confirmed by Advanced NFL Stats' methodologies as well)

However, on the other hand it makes him hypocritical because he's been insisting that PFF's ranking of the Fins OL as middle of the road is accurate while most of us who've seen multiple games in person (not that that is required if you have no axes to grind), recognize that the ranking should be 8-12 notches lower. But of course, when has disingenuity ever stopped someone who by dint of his previous opinions really doesn't know good QBing, from spinning a personally satisfying, albeit inconsistent story?

You keep leaving out that wilson had more long sacks. which means he held onto the ball for a longer amount of times, before he was sacked. which can easily say that those sacks are wilson or coverage sacks. tannehill had much less time to throw the ball on his sacks. but we've already been over this, and you just keep ignoring that FACT. And yes, the last game, tannehill wasn't touched. but during the rest of the season, he was sacked 58 times. You telling me you don't think that could have been a factor? that maybe he lost confidence in his Oline? he's a young QB. no one is crowning him the best ever. the OP isn't even saying tannehill is the 7th best qb in the nfl. just that passing/rushing wise, he was 7th.

there were plenty of sacks where Ryan was the reason too.

the 2nd half of the year the OL was pretty good, outside of the one game vs. Buf he wasn't sacked nearly as often yet you had the same 4-4 record in the 2nd half.

he wasn't 7th in anything as far as QB play goes.

Kinda like your "27th rated but top 10 best"...

NOBODY is going to listien to you when it comes to what makes a good QB:lol2:

the difference is mark led a ton of late game comebacks, was a huge reason we won ELEVEN games and made the playoffs AGAIN.

Stats never tell the whole story, in 2011 his #s were better than 2010 but he was much better in 2010. Ryan had good #s this year, he wasn't good though. If he was Miami makes the playoffs.

This explains so much about your low football IQ.

:lol2: coming from you? a guy that spends his days "no thanking" posts.:lol2::lol2:

it's comical how you can't read. I never touted any sites, I brought up PFF(or one of those sites) b/c one of your fellow homers was telling us how poorly they rated your OL. I simply countered that w/ the fact they had them near the mid of the pack. I don't need "experts" or stat sites to tell me anything unlike you(who only chooses to like them when they say nice things about Miami).

It's sad that w/ all your stalking you don't actually read my posts.

Tannehill had way more talent? Hello? What world were you in last year? Last I checked, Miami had one OL guy better than Brady had. Maybe two better WRs. That is three players out of 10. And did you forget the vast difference in the running game?

Contrary to what all of the so-called experts on TV and low acumen fans like you say, winning and losing has much less to do with the QB and much more to do with the rest of the team.

And yet my "Thanks Given" outweigh my "No Thanks Given". Ok then. I actually "Thanked" one of your posts today. You actually had something intelligent to say. Sadly, that's a rare thing from you. I call it like I see it and shockingly, I actually read things before commenting. Perhaps you should give it a shot. Just because you post often, doesn't mean you have anything worth saying.

It's Rainman syndrome from you. 99% of what you say is absolute nonsense. Dimwitted at best but often dipping into the realm of "bat-sh*t crazy. Then there's that elusive 1%. That occasional gem that actually seems somewhat intelligent and well thought out. For those rare instances, you get a "thanks".

It's funny how the troll who breaks into my image host that even I need to sometimes remember the password for and keeps track of me (during business hours only) thinking I'm not around weeknites and weekends cuz he's not allowed to come on and see me is calling someone else a stalker. You really are the gift that keeps on giving.

But tell us and TGG again how you hate Itzdick, think Geno was a wasted pick because he wasn't that good in a weak division, how despite what your coach declared, "Mark led us to 2 postseasons," how you have your franchise QB and wouldn't trade him for 2 first rounders or more, how a bottom of the barrel QB by every objective standard was ever a "top 10" and of course how losing Keller was "huge" for Sanchez's underperformance, but losing Keller and Gibson early on shouldn't have mattered to Tannehill; or that Sanchez was victimized by his OL, when PFF showed that he had less pressure than most of his peers yet was a bottom-feeder in performance regardless. Or of course that Sanchez had no supporting cast so, despite PFF adjusting for throw aways, and drops, he was still a bottom feeder and still threw into triple coverage with poor footwork often missing the open man (who on a pro roster was good enough to catch a ball when open I'd assume).

the weapons in the pass game weren't even close. NE had a better OL and in turn a better run game(though if you guys didn't abandon your run game you could have run more and won more).

keep hurling those insults rather than actually engage in discussions.

I know I've asked this before but never got a straight answer: for the record, when you "stumbled" onto the password protected image host that when cleaning out my cache, I need to look up the log in and p/w information for, did it happen to be on your employer's time and bandwidth????

I assume so cuz it seems the only times you're permitted internet access.

But I digress: again, the QB opinions of someone who ever thought Sanchez was more than a bottom feeding QB, ever "led" his team to the playoffs, despite Coach Mike's pronouncement otherwise, wouldn't trade him for any others except the top 5 and has declared "we have our FRANCHISE QB" should be accorded about the same amount of credibility as Rex and Michelle's support of monogamy.

2 Words....

Butt Fumble.

Or is it 1?

Buttfumble.

it clearly isn't password protected. I just searched my name again and the first images that pop up are bad photoshops from our resident unfunny homer. This isn't rocket science here, I am not a stalker like you that saves all my posts and knows where I live, etc...

the official count on that page is up to 14 pages of bad photoshops dedicated to me.

I avoid many but when there are threads trying to pretend like he was really good last year I have to come and discuss the truth. that is what these boards are for. I am always fair with him and all things dolphin related.
