PFT: Rumors persist that Carl Peterson will be running the Dolphins

I'm all for having a person who knows football in a position in which he hires, evaluates, and fires the GM and head coach, rather than making all that the job of an owner who doesn't know football.

I'd be for it.

He built those electrifying KC Chiefs teams from the ground up. Sure, trading a draft choice for Herman Edwards wasn't the greatest decision but I believe his greatest asset is talent evaluation, something this team hasn't had since Jimmy Johnson was the coach.

With Peterson in the FO, Luck will pull an Eli, he will draft a RB in the first round and you guys can start the campaign #DelivertoBridgewater

Maybe in his Junior year, Teddy will apply for the 2014 NFL Draft...

Another four years wasted...

Seriously, can he do any worse? After Cameron/Parcells/Ireland/Sparano nothing scares me anymore sadly.

I am not saying I am a big fan of Peterson, but didn't he make the Chiefs into consistent winners in the 90's? I remember them having some strong teams and some great defenses led by the late Derrick Thomas. They had a slew of good running backs too.

In the 90´s? So did Parcells...

If Peterson comes on I would think that Ireland stays as well.. Ireland worked with him in KC....I just hope the game has not passed by Peterson like it did Parcells.

I will watch another sport his entire tenure with the Dolphins.

No way, no how do I wan't that classless a$$hat involved with my beloved Dolphins!!!!!!!

Ya but Parcells was a head coach, he should have never been given the power to run the whole organization. He obviously was in way over his head and couldn't draft at all.

yeah, and Henning was the OC for the Carolina team that went to the SB in 03. Arteries harden, synapses misfire, old paradigms fade into oblivion as age and time pass these old timers by.

It is the same mentality... Ground and pound... Smashmouth football 3yds at a time...

If you want Bill Cowher then this is very good news, Peterson is the one who brought Cowher into the league with KC, mortenson and peter king both reported that peterson was the one that contacted cowher last year about coaching the phins and cowher was interested but said he wont discuss anything while we have a coach, they both stay in contact all the time and pro football weekly reported that the dolphins have contacted cowher indirectly, so I wonder who was the one who contacted him? I'm sure it was peterson, if peterson does come on board I guarantee the first call he makes will be to bill cowher, personally I think this is a good thing1
