Hartline got exposed big time this game. Everything I've been saying about him is true. You get the kind of coverages he gets and can't dominate? You're mediocre.
That dropped pass -- horrid.
That pass he caught BEHIND the defender and yet got tackled immediately (Hartline so much slower than the DB that even w. a double move to get behind defender, he is run down and tackled immediately. SMH. Buffalo has 4 WRs on their roster faster, more physical and talented than Hartline.)
That drop when Tanny bought time and hit him down the left sideline... that non-catch on the right sideline for a first down. GOOD and sure-handed WRs make those plays. POSSESSION WRs like Hartline are supposed to be sure-handed. But...
Just sad. It's not just Hartline, but it's just an ironclad illustration of his limitations. And they're glaring limitations. Against top shelf D, he disappears.
Same w. Matthews. And it was painful to see him and Clay try to get open against top-shelf D.
The only one w. a prayer out there was Wallace.
OL TOTALLY over-matched and our possession WRs got way exposed today.
We need new OL, better RBs and some talent comparable to Buffalos WR talent. They got it. And return talent too. Big time.
We have Thigpen and Hartline stumbling around out there. And Matthews slower than many LBs. And Thomas and Miller: One dimension and mediocre RBs.
Sad day to be a Dolphan.
