Players seem shellshocked in interviews

"i say crazy stuff for 4 games, and 3 outta 4 i am wrong - the 1 time i'm right, proves i'm right daamnit!!"

I haven't been wrong.

I've been 100 percent right on Hartline. Right in the off-season. Right during the season. Right when he was catching some passes. It's just that some people refuse to see the limitations until forced to see them.

Hartline is to the outside (boundary) WR position what Bess is to the inside (slot) WR position: Mediocrity that will get some catches and stats but basically do nothing that another mediocre WR wouldn't do and much less than a dominant WR would do.

And that's the truth.

Like it or not.

Opinions are not truth.

Period.

Period.

Not talking about opinions. I'm talking about breaking down every play of Hartline and asking which plays any WR couldn't make in his position.

Break it down, bro. The ONLY plays that Hartline makes that other mediocre WRs might not make are some boundary catches. Everything else in the field of play is mediocre or worse. His strength is route running and tip-toeing the sideline for catches. His weakness: Slowness down the field, decent but not great quickeness, very little physicality, poor catch radius and poor leaping ability and poor balance. Hartline demonstrates the poorest balance of any starting WR in the NFL. Run the tape, bro. Count how many times he falls down even untouched. Or how many times he falls with barest touch. Come back and talk opinions then, bro.

I deal in facts. I have opinions about those facts, yes. But this is about every football play made and not made by Hartline. That position could be so easily upgraded.

Hartline got exposed big time this game. Everything I've been saying about him is true. You get the kind of coverages he gets and can't dominate? You're mediocre.

That dropped pass -- horrid.

That pass he caught BEHIND the defender and yet got tackled immediately (Hartline so much slower than the DB that even w. a double move to get behind defender, he is run down and tackled immediately. SMH. Buffalo has 4 WRs on their roster faster, more physical and talented than Hartline.)

That drop when Tanny bought time and hit him down the left sideline... that non-catch on the right sideline for a first down. GOOD and sure-handed WRs make those plays. POSSESSION WRs like Hartline are supposed to be sure-handed. But...

Just sad. It's not just Hartline, but it's just an ironclad illustration of his limitations. And they're glaring limitations. Against top shelf D, he disappears.

Same w. Matthews. And it was painful to see him and Clay try to get open against top-shelf D.

The only one w. a prayer out there was Wallace.

OL TOTALLY over-matched and our possession WRs got way exposed today.

We need new OL, better RBs and some talent comparable to Buffalos WR talent. They got it. And return talent too. Big time.

We have Thigpen and Hartline stumbling around out there. And Matthews slower than many LBs. And Thomas and Miller: One dimension and mediocre RBs.

Sad day to be a Dolphan.

hartline should have scored on that bomb but he had trouble securing the ball to his body and I think it slowed him up. A more athletic WR takes that ball to the house.

They sure didn't look she'll shocked laughing and joking on the sideline!

Hartline should be shell shocked, He dropped 3 fricken passes, one of which may have been a long TD pass. The o-line stunk, the run defense stunk, the running backs couldn't block, Tannehill stunk, Wheeler and Ellerbe stunk etc etc etc. A total team stink up.

I don't blame Ryan Tannehill if he's shellshocked after that game. I've never seen pass protection that incompetent in my life.

And I've been watching football a long time. That was embarrassing. Flat embarrassing. They kept getting home with the exact same blitz, over and over again. The Bills were even laughing about it after the game.

Daniel Thomas, I can't believe we traded up for that guy.

Tannehill looked by a pinata back there..

Buffalo is definitely going to be a factor next year in the AFCE especially if/when they get their offense improved.

They don't have a QB. If we could pass protect or gameplan we could have exposed some of their defensive weaknesses. Let's not overrate Buffalo just because they stomped us.

We're not that good and the Bills certainly aren't, either.

i dont know if we could have exposed him...the damn defense was awful...that qb sucks balls yet we give up long clock grinding drives...if the d is suppose to carry this team well then damn well do it

i'm tired of hearing about how great this d is...just about every game this teams won the offense has had to score late after the d has given up the lead...it's bs

it wouldn't have mattered yesterday though...they could have given us the ball 100 times the oline play was so terrible in both phases we would have done nothing with it but get the damn qb hit more

As I mentioned in another thread, our D is only going to get worse. We're stuck with ****ty LBs for at least one more year due to the cap, and we're likely to lose some of our better players to free agency (Starks, Soliai, Grimes).
