once indy went fast tempo the offense exploded...why??? cause the qb was ready for it...our qb was ready too...sherman just crapped the bed...whenever this team went fast be it 2 minute drill or end of halfs where it required it the offense went right down the damn field if the protection didn't implode...

i doubt it's gonna be eagles level tempo though cause these 2 tackles aren't made for that i can tell ya that much...not that level athletes like the eagles have at tackle...these guys will be sucking wind like crazy we go that fast

well, to be frank, outside of the eagles there aren't many teams who could go at that level. Houston maybe. Dallas if Zack Martin plays RT. the list isn't very long.

Players need different coaching and different opportunities throughout their career to truly develop. Unfortunately, Sherman was outdated and took him as far as he could. But the flip side to this is... had it not been for Sherman, RT may have never been in the NFL. And less likely to be an NFL QB. So, while the student has outgrown the teacher... the teacher did properly develop the student to take the next step.

Unfortunately, we had to endure last year to have a chance at a new offensive mind to hopefully finish the job that Sherman started. When Sherman was hired, RT was going to be a Miami Dolphin. It was the right decision to bring RT's support network with him to the pro's. Unfortunately, the time was needed for change. Let's hope Lazor is the next successful step in RT's development.

It would be nice to finally have an up and coming QB paired with an up and coming OC at the same time. It might be magic time.

no...there arent many teams that trust the qb that much...it's either system based stuff or the qb is not trusted enough with a lot of it...miami should not be in that boat
 
The best offenses all seem to be running high tempo, so, don't think it takes a genius to figure that one out.

We tried going that same route, until our coaching staff realized Ireland filled the roster with Morons who just weren't capable of comprehending a fast paced offense.
 
We find out what Tannehill is made of this year. I think he pulls it off and hits the 25 td mark this year. We also see how bad Wallace wants it, and see Clay develop even more.

like i said it's either system based like kellys o or it's the teams trust the qbs the most...and they get rewarded with high end play at the position as a result...presnap reads sound decision making with the football etc...

i don't endorse many qbs to run that style offense cause it exposes bad presnap read qbs and guys that make poor decisions with the football...but that's not the kind of qb we have...his decision making and presnap reads are a strength run an offense that maximizes that advantage for you and also helps hide some of your weaknesses ie oline pass pro and run blocking

no brainer for us imo

well, you said our OT's would be gasping for air, so i was speaking OT-wise, not a lot of teams could do it. QB-wise, i certainly wouldn't recommend Houston or Dallas to do it. i would, however, like to see the Jets and Bills do it :chuckle:
 
For people that think tempo and no huddle aren't a huge impact on an offense, look at Buffalo's success in the 90's. Shoot look at how the Pats wore us down a few years ago in the home opener.

I personally don't know why teams don't use the run and shoot.

In this NFL I think it's work great.

I gotta agree with ya. If you run that offense and have a defense that can make a few stops you tend to be in good shape. Unless you are the Bills in the super bowl..... :chuckle:
