Please listen to M.Irvin show with J.Dukes

To anyone who wanted Orton but dismissed V. Young, I have to question your intelligence.

I didn't/don't want either.

Vince Young doesn't have the mentality of a leader, Orton does. QB is a leadership position. How does that not make sense?

didnt mean to offend, i just hate that guys show.....ill leave it at that

No offense at all taken..the few post you've made says a lot! I just want to win and i think this FO is doing a big disservice by leaving the QB position as it currently is..

Did you just say Henne is better than V.Young hell and even Mallett as a Rookie? Unreal!

I agree 100% with Nublar, explain to me how Mallett and Young are better than Henne? What have they proven? Absolutely nothing more than Henne. It wasn't all Henne in my opinion, OC and OL injuries were a huge factor.

Irvin is a good guy. Dukes, ehh.

Mallett must have had some really bad interviews - like Kevin Federline-ish type interviews for him to drop to the third with the height, stats, and rocket that he has.

I wanted VY or Mallett...however I understand why neither was signed as both had/have flaws....we'll see what happens with the Moore/Henne battle.

He is slow, poor accuracy on passes beyond 15 yards, MAJOR off the field issues among other issues. Not to mention that he was passed on by QB needy teams two times and in some cases three times. If the Patriots didn't grab him in the 3rd, there was strong talk he wasn't going to get drafted until the 4th or 5th round. Mallett does not translate to the pros well and will either be a career backup or out of the league within 4-5 years.

He is slow. But poor accuracy on passes beyond 15 yards? Really? Did you watch him play at all?

And I said on the field.

Mallett has a big, accurate arm, and he has an excellent understanding of the position. Henne has a big arm. That's it. Also, Mallett moves better in the pocket than Henne does.

Teams passed on him for off-field reasons.

Orton has the mentality of a leader. A leader of what? I'll tell you what: losers.

Young wins games. Orton doesn't. I don't want either, but Young is the much better QB - especially if you're talking about a stop gap QB. Young has the potential to get you to the playoffs and win there. Can he lose his head? Yes. But, that's what we're looking for anyway: a QB who either takes us deep into the playoffs or falls apart so that we can get a high pick. Orton won't get you anywhere.

which make me always wonder if belecheat blew another draft in this third rounder. Ron Brace must be a bust. just hired haynesworth. People actually gave this guy a great draft on this board. No way no how. You have all those draft picks for years and you come up with free agency pickups every year to cover it up.

As to Jamie Dukes and Irvin. Dukes is a blowhard and he interrupts everyone with his take after he just gave us his take! Irvin is a good guy but seriuosly, you just cannot listen to him either. I compare him to Shannon Sharp.

Correction, VY was a much better QB. Face it, it takes smarts in this league at QB and this dude not only is not all that bright (great instincts though), but he actually lost his mind two years ago. VY was my guy out of Leinert, and Cutler and himself in that draft. VY has been proven a loser of late and not sure he has the mentality to get it back unless he is a backup on a good team.
