Poor AJ Feeley, Cant even open a Maxim Magazine without getting dissed...

OUCH!!! man people are ruthless... if fiedler was so much better why did he lose the starrting job so quik to aj last year... he may not be the best quarteback in the league... but, with everyone including our fans hating him he would have to win 5 superbowls just to be considered good... lets not forget he lead our 4-12 against one of the NFLs grteatest teams and beat them on monday night in front of the nation... If you know football, anyone behind the O-line we had last year; and with no running game, their isnt one QB that could succeed.. especially one in a brand new system and club.. give the man a chance hes already shown signs of a leader and a hard ***.. (no pun intended)

beside you dont see the giants and the media lighting toarches and sharpening pitch forks ready to lynch eli manning for not being his brother do you?????:jetssuck:

Yes, everyone has conveniently forgotten the Fins beating the Patriots, only l of 2 teams to do that last year!

In the latest issue of Maxim, they have a review of Madden 06 which features this line:

"Every new version of Madden has its own set of improvements, and this year the designers tweaked the passing game, letting quaterbacks with great field presence see their receivers better... and those named AJ Feeley dig their own graves."

I guess he is the consensus worst QB in the NFL after last year.. but he had a better record than the "all-star Backup" Jay Fiedler...

Jay Fiedler had a very good winning percentage over his tenure as the Dolphins starter. Last year, with our line and without a running back, he was murdered. A.J. Feeley was also beaten up, but performed better than Fiedler. There's no reason to think that Feeley wouldn't have done as well as Fiedler if he were the four-year starter.

Fielder was one of two quarterbacks last season to beat the Patriots. Does anybody remember that?

Actually Fiedler was the starter and A.J. was the backup, so Dorsey & A.J. were both backup's at the start of the season and both were promoted to starter due to ineffective play & injuries....

actually, Feeley was brought in BY SPIELMAN to start. He traded a second rounder for a starter, which obviously backfired

yes, and Feeley lovers use that argument all the time to talk about how good he is, neglecting every other bad game he had.

BTW, so what? The Fins beat the Pats? Who cares? The Pats won the championship, the Phins were 4-12

Feeley will get his shot, as will Gus and Sage.

The best QB will start, and if its not AJ, so be it. We wont be playing a QB thats not good enough.

This is finally a time where we'll be playing the best QB, not a HC's buddy

I thought that was Feeley.

Fiedler was better, we will suck if we dont get a good QB

actually hes right. Fiedler at least had some halfass seasons here. Feeley had a piss poor one, and until he proves otherwise fiedler is better.

It was a good game for us.........I'm not denying that. But c'mon after re-examining it, how often do you see the Patriots play the way they did? I mean Tom Brady was trying to throw off his backside as he was lying on the ground. Was that typical play you'd expect from the 3-time Super Bowl champs? Nah. It was a letdown game for them. Think the same scenario would've played out had that game been played in Foxboro? Nah.

Yea, but we won "in spite of him" most of the time, not "because" of his stellar playing ability.

You exaggerate.......... You cannot win games in this league if you QB isn't at least a little bit efficient and I'm sick of hearing your guys' stupid argument. If your QB was a total turd you could not compile the record we did, you simply could not. People say "Oh well it was the defense"............ really? The defense that let up in big games? The defense that couldn't make critical stops? We put out a "statistics" defense...........always great in statistics, didn't mean much as far as output.

Jay came thru as often as he mucked up. It's just that he was never anything more than an average starter and couldn't minimize his mistakes.

.............and the relevance of this post was???

The relevance is if Dolphin fans want to rip AJ that's fine. I'm even willing to listen to Patriot or Jets fans have their fun. What's ridiculous is to listen to Bills fans rip AJ's play last year when they are going into the season with a QB who absolutely stunk up the joint in his limited action last year. Until Losman proves he belongs on an NFL field, Bills fans should be seen and not heard when it comes to Feeley. Who are Bills fans to judge any football team? They have never seen a team capable of winning a SuperBowl and therefore are unable to make any qualified judgements on anything other than how to be the all time sucker NFL team. Four Super Bowl losses in a row! An act of futility not even matched by baseball's Atlanta Braves. As far as I'm concerned the fifth string waterboy for the Dolphins has more bragging rights than any Bills fan anywhere and anytime.:whip2:Own this

Don't you realize you're both fighting an unwinning battle? Both QB's are absolute nobodies at this point .........to determine who's going to come out on top is a complete waste of time. I'd consider aiming your focus on something more concrete about the Fins.

If Feeley was a "nobody" the Dolphins would have drafted a QB. Clearly, he showed enough that the decision to draft a QB was put off one year to see what he could do. The time to make statements about Feeley is after the final preseason game. Then at least we will know whether he progressed or plateaued

Not necessarily. I wanted a QB in the worst way, but after Smith was gone I felt nobody was worth it at their draft position. Just b/c I think AJ sucks doesn't mean I want to over pay to bring in somebody else who sucks.
